Chapter 4

--Lovelies! I am back! I am so sorry for leaving you guys hanging! I just lost a little interest, mainly bc no one had read it so far. Except for my sister,  @SolannaT1 and my one actual reader, @ZukoAzulon! Thanks guys! I am very sorry about me not writing for a while.---

The bus wasn't going very fast, mainly because of the Katabatic winds. They are hurricane force winds that have eroded through the Dry Valleys. They made it look like what it is now, with rocky formations twisted and scattered throughout the deep valleys, and gravel mountaintops. If your not careful, you can hydroplane on the dry gravel.

The quiet was deafening. Every now and then I would see something peculiar. A formation so bizarre it was unnatural, and a mummified eel on the rocks. I tapped Jack's shoulder, telling him to look. He saw the eel and made a face. He leaned down and whispered in my ear, ¨I am going to go back to sleep,  are you?¨

¨I don't know... I'm not that tired anymore. You should sleep. We have hours before we get there.¨ I said.

He nods. ¨Will you wake me up when we get there?¨

¨If you are not already awake by then, sure! If I am asleep, Alina will do it.¨ I say.

A look of absolute terror crosses his face. He asks ¨Can Charlie do it? I trust him more than Alina, no offence.¨

¨Whatever do you mean? I'll wake you up fine!¨ Alina exclaims, suddenly right next to us. Jack fell off of his seat onto the floor. Alina watched, laughing. I helped Jack up after I got over my mini heart attack. He glared at her while she snickered. ¨THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE IS WHAT I MEAN.¨

¨Oh, go off it Alina. You did wake us up.¨ I point out ¨We are tired, so, if you'll be so kind... I need to get back to my naa--¨ Suddenly, the bus spins below my feet, throwing me off of our row, only to be stopped by Jack's arm.  Shouts and screams erupts as the bus hydroplanes on the gravel. We spin like we are on a fancy racetrack, around and around.

Just as abrupt as it started, the bush crashes to a stop against a particularly pointy formation. The screams die down as people began to quiet. It raises the hair on my arms as I stand up, bringing Jack with me. I check through each row, glancing to make sure everyone's okay. Only one scream goes on, bloodcurdling, and painful. We make our way to the front, and I gasp at what I see.

The driver, who was in the very front, is ran through by the formation. The strange gray material enters above his heart, and exits on his lower back. Blood bubbles up around the stone, dripping down his body. It gushes out, bright red against the dark grey of the rock. He looks at me and chokes out ¨I.... am..... so-rry...¨ He gasps, his speech stilted and broken. Blood trickled out of the corner of his mouth, glistening. With one last exhale, the life fades from his eyes.

--Was that chapter good? I really didn't stretch it out, though. Was the death okay? Please give some feedback, as I would love it! Again, sorry for the death. Thanks for reading it! Bye Loves! -Viviann246--
