4months later

Rose and Chris walk through the halls of school on they're way to lunch, they always meet after class to go together. Even though she's a senior and he's a junior, they try to see each other as much as possible. They walk past the prom ticket table on their way.
"So you going to prom this year?" Chris asks Rose
"I don't know, no ones asked me yet, i guess i can just go with some girlfriends, i was just hoping..."
"Well there's still time" Chris puts his arms around Roses shoulder and she smiles up at him
"I hope so"
"Have you ever thought of asking the guy?" He looks down at her, as they continue their way to the cafeteria, his arm still around her
"I don't know, i don't know if i have the guts, what if he says no" she's embarrassed
"Who would say no to you?" He looks down at her encouraging
"Even if you're right, i just have this fantasy of being asked, I'm all for female empowerment, but still it'd be nice to be asked" she keeps her head forward
"I'm sure you'll be asked... who is it that you want to ask you anyways" he looks down at her anxious
"It doesn't matter"
They make it to the cafeteria and their other friends before he can ask her any farther
He waits a little, when they're in line and everyone else is having their own conversations "you could always ask Wyatt" he chuckles
She smacks him "Not funny, we're finally getting back to normal after him asking me out" she frowns
"I know, I'm sorry" he pauses "are you sure you can't tell me" he looks down at her and nugges her
"Chris!" She looks at him "no, i don't want to talk about it" and looks straight forward, obviously upset
"I know, I'm sorry, I'll drop it"

2 weeks later

"Only one more day to buy prom tickets ladies and gentlemen" the announcements go through the speakers as Chris and Rose walk to lunch
"Fuck, well i guess I'm going with girlfriends to my fucking senior prom, just like last year" Rose rolls her eyes
"Go with me" Chris says suddenly
Rose stops in her tracks, "what?"
"Yeah, we can go together" he tries to read her face, but cant' get anything from her "you know, as friends obviously"
she quickly looks up at him, almost like she's hurt, but quickly recovers, "yeah, yeah we can do that" she half smiles
"Unless you don't want to?" He second guesses himself
"No no, no it's fine, sounds like a plan" she confirms
Chris walks away and goes to the ticket table and buys two tickets

Chris is to eager to walk home so he orbs into the the front parlor "mom, mom!" He yells
"Kitchen!" She yells back
Her, his dad Leo, and his aunts, Phoebe and Paige are in the kitchen when he walks in
"What's up sweetie?" Piper asks. She's in the middle of making something, he thinks it's a potion
"Is there a demon?" Chris asks
"Yeah but nothing to worry about, what's up" Piper asks again
He feels nervous now that everyone is there
"Someone is very excited and happy" Phoebe says, feeling what he feels
He looks at her almost annoyed
"Whops sorry" she says and turns around
they all look at him waiting for his news
"Oh it's nothing really, I juts bought tickets for prom today, no big deal" he turns quickly trying to leave the room without questions
"Wait, you said tickets, as in more then one, who are you taking" Leo asks
Chris slowly turns around before answering, "... uh, Rose is going with me, we're going as friends, no one asked her, so i figured i would"
"Oh that was nice sweetie" Piper smiles as she continues the potion
"Yeah, okay, well i got a lot of homework" and Chris quickly orbs upstairs before anyone can ask more questions
Not much longer after he's up there he hears a knock at the door
"Come in" he mumbles as he pulls out his school books
Phoebe comes walking in and closes the door behind her "so you wanna talk about it?" She sits down on his bed
"Talk about what" he doesn't even look up
"You know i can feel everything you do, why even try to hide it, this is just the first time I'm saying anything." She waits, no answer "you really like her huh?" She waits this time for him
"It doesn't matter, she doesn't like me that way" he finally looks at her
"How do you know?" She wants to comfort him
"Cause it seemed like she freaked out when I asked and then i said just as friends and she was fine" he looks away again
"Look honey, just see what happens, you are a catch okay?" She walks over to him and rubs his shoulder
"She said no to Wyatt" he looked up at her through the mirror in front of them
"I know, but not you" she smiles down at him and rubs his head before leaving
