Reese's POV::
In my excitement and hurry, I even forgot to ask mate what her name is. This evening I will.

After university, I waited for her at the entrance to come with me at the pack house. I will show her my wolf and then all the preparations for me becoming the alpha can finally begin.

I can't believe my luck. Finally.

I had already mind-linked my dad and mom to welcome my mate.

She came out of the university.

"Hi. Jump on." I opened the passenger door for her.

She came around was about to sit in the car,

But that sissy came to us.

He still has a few bandages on his face.

She left the car. And I exited too.

I was ready to go give him a piece of my mind or a piece of muscles.

"Let me do this." She interjected.

"Okay." I stopped and leaned against the bonnet of my car.

"Don't do this." That sissy was almost crying.

"Accept the last gift from me." She took off a gold chain with some locket from her neck and handed it to him.

"I am ready to compromise. Don't do this."

"I absolve you from all your promises. Please forgive me and reciprocate."

That sissy was just moments away from crying. But she was calm and serene. Good, because it shows that she doesn't care about him.

"Is there no other option? Something I can help with?"

"Only four. And I have already discarded one of them. The rest depends on him." She gestured towards me.

"I am willing to absolve you of your promises but this...... Please don't."

"Take care of yourself." She returned back to my car. "And everyone."

"Don't......"

"I have to go now. Forgive me once again."

She is coming with me. She left him for me.

I think something is not right. Like she is trying to say something else.

Whatever. She is just saying goodbye to him.

She sat in the passenger seat and I went behind the wheel.

She was looking out of the window.

Let me talk to her.

I will ask her.

"My wolf wants to meet you."

"Mhmmm."

"I will let him meet you back at the pack house."

But she was calm. Not saying anything. Not even a slight twitch.

Did she even hear me?

I softly touched her hand and she glanced my way.

"What do you think about humans?"she asked.

She took her hand away to adjust her hair.
