Heyo! I'm back! Got sunburned... Anywho, here's the new chapter.
Tw: U!Virgil, swearing
Logan's PoV
Remus never told me his idea. He simply said it was a surprise and that he wouldn't be able to "hang out" for awhile. It was disappointing I had to admit. By the time I returned to my room, it was time for dinner. I had shut the door and not even a minute later, Patton was walking down the hall and announcing dinner was ready. Afterwards would be the perfect time to talk with Virgil.
Dinner was the same as always. Patton and Roman chatting, Virgil making the occasional sassy comment, while I sat in silence and ate. Virgil and I always cleaned up after dinner because Patton and Roman always made dinner. So I decided to confront Virgil then. The other two went into the living room as we were washing the dishes, so I took my opportunity. "Virgil, may I ask you something?"
"Sure." Virgil shrugged, taking a plate from me and drying it.
"Why do you dislike Remus and Janus so much?" I glanced over to see he had stopped drying the plate.
"Because they're bad."
"You were once viewed as bad but were given a chance. Do they not deserve a chance to be accepted?" I set the dish I was washing down and turned to face Virgil.
"They'll never change. They're bad people and that's that." Virgil finished drying the plate finally and set it to the side.
"I do not understand. Remus made it sound like you were all happy until one day you left. Why-"
"You've been hanging around those two?" Virgil glared up at me, crossing his arms over his chest. "You claim to be so busy with work, but you're really just spending time with those two idiots? Whatever friendship you think you have is a lie. They're manipulative, lying bastards."
"They are not bad people. They are doing their jobs just like the rest of us."
"You don't know them like I do. And Logan, if you ever hang around them again, I'll tell Patton. You know how heartbroken he'll be, right? Then I'll have to step in and make sure you never have another playdate with those bastards ever again. Do you understand that?" Virgil had stopped slouching and reached my height, staring into my eyes furiously.
"Virgil, they aren't-"
"Don't. Talk. To. Them. Again." Virgil took a step back and turned to the sink again. "Now let's finish up and get to the movie."
