Huey x Violet (once again)

Huey POV

I've liked Violet for a long time. Today is the day. I'll finally tell her. I've been gathering courage for a long time, but today I really believe I can do it. I dressed in a red hat and shirt and went to the library hoping to see Violet there.

,,Good morning, Mrs. Quackfaster." I said at the entrance. She looked at me and answered:

,,Good morning, Huey."

I was looking around at some free table when suddenly my eyes met her. Beautiful Violet, read in some book. I walked up to her.

,,Hey" I said. She looked at me from the book.

,,Oh! Huey, hey! What are you doing here?" She said. I sat in a chair next to her.

,,Nothing like that. I just wanted to borrow some book." I said, and then I added ,,Maybe you could recommend me some?"

,,You want me to help you choose a book?" she was surprised. ,,That's great! No one's ever asked me for advice!"

I've never seen Violet so energetic. I liked it.

,,I thought you had good taste when it comes to books." I said.

,,So," she said and looked around the library. ,,What kind of book do you want?"

I thought about it. I had no idea what kind of book I wanted. Violet was banging her head.

,,Okay. Well, do you want a sad or a funny book?" She asked.

,,Sad" I answered, without any conviction. Violet came up to one shelf and pulled out the grey book.

,,Okay, but I warn you, it will break your heart" she said, giving me the book.

,,My heart...is already broken," I answered.

,,Why?" She asked with care.

,,The girl I love...don't really feel what I feel," I said, looking at her. I was hoping she wouldn't understand that it was about her, even though she was extremely clever.

,,And...and you tried to tell her?" She asked Violet.

,,No" I said ,,I was too scared."

,,A...and what would you tell her?" She asked, looking at me.

,,Can I try it on you?" I asked, and she was banging her head. I took a deep breath. ,,Okay, so... You're the person that makes me happy, you're the person that I see in my head, there's a growing question in my head, "Is she looking at me?", you're the person that taught me to love because I didn't know how to do it before. You are the special person I look at and think, "God, how beautiful and smart she is. It's hard to express in words how happy I am to see you. It's hard to express in words my feelings for you, so I'll just say that I really love you."

,,Wow, Huey," said Violet when I finished. ,,That was very deep and great. This girl is incredibly lucky, and besides, you said exactly how I feel."

,,Who do you feel for?" I asked.

,,You know this boy" She said, shaking her arms ,,Never mind, but when are you going to tell this girl?"

,,I just said" I said, blushing. Violet looked at me, she was dazzled.

,,Did she...?" She asked.

,,Yes" I interrupted her ,,I like you, Violet, really."

Violet blushed.

,,That's good," she said ,,because I like you too."

Don't think about anything. I went up to her and kissed her. She get it back. Our beaks touched each other and gave a warm, short kiss. We moved away from each other, red.

,,I love you" I said, smiling at her.

,,I love you, too, Hue," she said, taking the front hair back. ,,You are so cute!"

,,You too, Violet, you too." I said.

She laughed. I smiled and put my hand on her shoulder.

,,Oh, no! I said that out loud?" She asked.

,,Yes. You're so pretty when you smile!" I added, and Violet blushed.
