*Annabelle's Pov*
After arriving at the new house last night, I instantly crashed on my mattress which was spread across the floor in the room that would become my bedroom. I was too tired to eat last night, not that it mattered because what's the point in eating if you're sad? I groaned as the stupid suns light shone through the window, reminding me I need to get curtains. The sun is meant to be a happy thing which is why I hate it. How can I be happy when my mother isn't alive anymore? Maybe I'd be better off joining her, at least I'd feel more appreciated with her. "Annabelle! Your sister and I are just running to the store to get some food and supplies. We'll be back soon, you're welcome to go and explore. Stay safe, love you" my dad called out from the front door "goodbye!" I muttered and sat up to look at the surrounding state of cardboard boxes around me. I crawled off of the mattress and slowly walked into the bathroom down the hallway, cringing at my depressing reflection. "You're ugly" I muttered to myself "just go away" I said again, I turned on the tap and splashed some cold water onto my face to help wake me up.

"Annie! Breakfast is ready, come downstairs when you're ready" I sighed as I nibbled on my lip, I don't deserve to eat. I brushed through my pin straight and natural brown locks of hair to occupy myself from going downstairs. "Anns, are you coming?" I turned my head to my younger sister Kaylee "Um, I actually grabbed some Starbucks while you guys were gone. Thanks though" I lied with a nod of my head "Oh ok! Bye!" She smiled as she headed back downstairs. I spent the rest of the day unpacking and organising my room, I'd rather get all of it done now so that I can sit around and mope later. The rest of the furniture arrived later around 6:00pm, I watched from my window as the movers helped carry it into the house and repeated that until it was the last of the furniture. A knock at my door startled me "come in" I mumbled quietly "Sorry to disturb you. Your father asked me to help bring your furniture up here. Where should I put this dresser?" I looked around the room, I hadn't thought about it too much. "Uh, over there I guess is fine" I said as I pointed towards the wall furthest away from the door. "Your bed should be up next" the mover guy said to which I nodded my head "alright" I replied as he left and went back downstairs again.

As the hours passed and I had taken a shower, I climbed into the warm covers of my bed. I knew that my father would be calling me for dinner soon and if I fell asleep he'd leave me be and expect me to fix myself a snack when I 'wake up' in the middle of the night. As I got myself comfy, I looked out my window which was beside my bed and looked up at the sky,
"I miss you mom" I whispered, with a tear falling down my cheek. After the one tear, they never stopped and before I knew it, I had cried myself to sleep.
