Arthur wouldn't have been trapped by sandra since Arthur wouldn't have emotionally and mentally broke down. He really wouldn't have cared if sandra cheated on him as long as he had his older sis he'd be okay.
Aurora is old enough to buy and appartment for her and Arthur to stay at and probably collected a lot of evidence that her mother was neglectful and her father was a monster and gave it to the cops. Her father and mother would get arrested and Aurora would get custody over Arthur until he is an adult since she would be 19 or 18. They both would go to therapy and Arthur would have stayed with sandra. It would be a bittersweet ending.
