Chapter Three//Unamused Acceptance

Virgil walked down the hall, sipping his Capri sun and yawning a bit, passing by a wood door with a snake symbol on it.

He froze, turning his head to the door.

"The fuck?!" Virgil said, kicking the door open. "Deceit?!"

Janus' head shot up as he quickly wiped away his tears. "What do you want, Anxiety."

"Pffft, were you crying?" Virgil smirked, leaning against the door frame.

"/No/. What do you want?"

Virgil remembered why he had walked in. "What are you doing in the lightscape?"

"Fixing my room."

"And why is your room in the lightscape?"

"Because."

"Because what?"

"Because I got accepted."

Virgil burst into laughter in front of an unamused Janus before looking up at the snake and his face turned into a mix of shock and confusion.

"I'm gone for one episode. And you... What?!"

Janus summoned a book, flipping to a page. "I was accepted."

"And everyone agreed?!

"Patton and Thomas did." Janus shrugged. "I don't think Logan cares"

Virgil rose a brow. "And Roman?"

"Roman can go suck an egg."

Virgil held back a laugh. "What'd he do?"

"Made fun of my name."

"Wait. YOU TOLD THEM YOUR-"

Janus sighed, putting the book away. "Yes. Roman made fun of it and is probably off sulking in his room."

"Why would he be upset?"

"What is this? Fifty questions?"

Virgil mumbled something. "Just answer the question"

"I insulted him back." Janus looked down, playing with his sleeves. "It kinda backfired though."

"What'd you mean?"

"I phrased it so it sounded like I called Remus the evil twin."

"Ouch. Now you fucked up."

"Oh shut it, raccoon." 

Virgil smiled a bit at the nickname. "So you just... left him?"

"I did it to help Thomas..."

"You know Remus hates being alone."

Janus nodded, not liking the reminder.

"Remember when I left?"

"Yea... He almost didn't make it.."

Virgil turned to leave the room. "Talk to him."

Janus muttered something, nodding to Virgil.
