Batman and Superman were combining forces to fight the Joker and Lex Luther, who had combined forces to create a giant robot pie launcher. 'You'll never defeat us Joker!' exclaimed Batman, throwing a flaming batarang that Superman had ignited with is heat vision. It bounced of Lex's titanium armour and ricocheted of a steel billboard and hit a costa coffee shop. The explosion rang out through the city of Metropolis and screams peirced the air. 'No!' Superman yelled, rushing over with Batman to help the injured people. 'Don't worry citizens!' he exclaimed, 'We will buy loads of coffee to make up for it to help you pay for the damage!'
