Demon Cat

A/N: It's literally 3 A.M. for me rn and at this point it's the only time I can work on my writing without my brother being a nuisance.

Why is there a cat on campus, and why is it in the infirmary? I looked at the cat, trying to figure out what breed it was. Is it a Russian Blue? Probably part, it has a patch of white fur in the front… wait, it’s ears are on fire?!

I have no idea what to do, I might be the cat whisperer of my family (a title I got from my bros and parents), but a demon kitty? Do I encounter it like I do normally when with cats? What the fuck do I do?

At this point, I’m just staring the cat down with my hand extended so it can sniff me. Clearly the kitty’s not amused in the slightest.

“You think I am a mere house cat? I am the great Grim, and I will become the greatest wizard!” he spoke. Wait… the cat spoke. Given how I’m definitely not on Earth anymore and the fact I’m probably going to encounter weirder shit, I think a talking hellcat is pretty normal.

“I’ve seen humanoids with cat features, but I don’t think they accept actual cats. I could be wrong, I got yeeted into a world I have no idea what it is at a school I never heard of. You probably know more than me about this place.” I told Grim, somewhat of a whisper since I spoke quietly.

The door opened, and the awkward silence ensued. “Miss Bridget, can you explain what you’re doing?” Ah, it’s Crowley. I got up into a seating position, shrugging my shoulders.

“All I can say is talking cat. Never seen one in my world.” I answered, not even attempting eye contact. I really find eye contact painful if I do it too long, and it’s easier to hold an actual conversation if I’m not looking into their eyes. Just… look in their general location and I’ll be fine or stare blankly at what I was just doing before.

“Ah, so this isn’t your cat?” Crowley asked me, I could tell he’s closer to me because of the clacking of his boots on the floor. I shook my head.

“I’m pretty sure I’d be able to remember a cat with fire on the inside of their ears if I saw one before.” Seriously though, a cat with flaming ears is pretty memorable even if you saw one once. I might have six cats (and even more if you count the strays my family feeds), but I’ve never seen this kitty before. He has chaotic bastard energy though.

“Ah, that makes sense. Anyways, I’ll bring you to the dorm. Come, come!” he grabbed my hand and we walked out of the infirmary, in the direction of the place I’m going to spend a lot of time at for an indefinite amount of time until I find a way back home.
