I continued knocking until I heard someone approaching the door.
"You hear me knocking Tammy" I said.
I heard the locks clicking before the door cracked up. I pushed it making her stumble back.
"I needa talk to you" I said.
"Don't be barging in my shit like that Satan!" she snapped.
"This not yo' shit. Last time I checked Sincere pays for this house and it's in his name" I said.
"What do you want?" she asked rolling her eyes.
"Ima just cut straight to the chase with yo' ass.. Is Sincere mine or not?" I asked.
"Does it matter?" she asked.
"Yes it fucking matters" I spat.
She chuckled.
"I should've known she was your daughter.. It was the eyes" she said.
I scrunched my face up.
"You've seen my daughter?" I asked.
"She came with Sincere once, but she didn't get out the car" she answered.
"When was this?" I asked.
"Two and a half months ago I wanna say" she thought back.
I'm guessing it was before I confronted them.
"Is he mine or not?" I asked.
"No he isn't. I been told you that" she said.
"You also told me there was a possibility before he was born" I said.
"Some things were fuzzy back then, but I remember clearly now.. You're not his father" she clarified.
I released the breath I didn't even realize I was holding in.
"He loves her" she said.
"What?" I asked.
"Sincere loves your daughter" she repeated.
"Have a good day, Tammy" I said before walking out.

I walked into the house hearing a bunch of voices.
"Asaud" I heard Serenity call out.
"Yeah" I answered walking to the living room.
"Fuck y'all doing? Having a meeting?" I asked.
"Is he?" Serenity asked referring to what I revealed to her last night.
"No" I said looking Sincere in the eyes.
"Whew, thank God" she clapped.
"What are y'all talking about?" Ava asked.
"Nothing" I said.
"Now what's going on?" I asked.
There was silence before Sincere cleared his throat leaning up.
"Ava's pregnant" he announced.
I felt a pain shoot through my chest.
"WHAT" Kash yelled.
"Kash don't start" Ava sighed.
"NEHEMIAH" Serenity yelled as he charged at Sincere.
I quickly grabbed him.
"Let me go" Nemo spoke calmly.
"Chill son" I coached.
"You ok with this shit? She only 18" he said.
"I didn't say I was ok with it" I admitted.
I felt betrayed. I felt disappointed.
"Look it ain't even Ava fault. It was my own selfishness of wanting a family with her now that got her pregnant knowingly" Sincere spoke up.
I mugged him.
"Where my gun?" Kash asked getting up.
"Sit yo' black ass down" I said.
Kash smacked his lips before sitting down.
"I didn't even mean to shoot him, he just caught me by surprise" Kash rapped lowly.
"I told y'all I didn't want y'all even communicating with eachother anymore so how did this happen?" I asked.
"We fucked" Killa said nonchalantly.
I bit the inside of my jaw.
"Bitch I got murder on my mindddd" Kash sung louder.
My kids were definitely a little off. Unfortunately they got that side from me.
"Sincere I will beat you the fuck up, so ima ask y'all one more time.." I said.
"I mean obviously we ain't leave eachother alone, I couldn't leave her alone. I tried outta respect for you, but honestly I ain't letting no nigga hold me back from my happiness. Would you have stopped messing with Ms. Ren if her dad asked?" Killa asked me.
I didn't even have to think about my answer, it was no.
"Exactly" he said when I didn't respond.
"I raised you as a son. All I ask for in return was respect and I feel real disrespected right now" I admitted.
"I could see why you'd feel that way but in all honesty this didn't have anything to do with you. Ava is grown" Killa said.
"He has a point" Serenity spoke.
I mugged her.
"Aight, fuck it. Y'all right, I'm the one trippin" I said walking off.
"Asaud" Serenity called out.
I went to my room pulling out an already rolled blunt. I needed to smoke more than ever. After lighting the blunt and taking a couple puffs I felt instant relief.
"A fucking grandpa" I mumbled to myself.
There was a knock on the door before it opened.
"Hey dad" Ava walked in.
"What Ava?" I asked.
"I'm sorry" she said as I seen her lip trembling.
Here she go.
"It's not that we're not taking your feelings into consideration, it's just.. What can we do at this point?" she asked wiping her tears.
"Do you love him?" I asked.
"Yes" she answered.
"Does he treat you good? Be honest" I said.
"Yes he does" she answered.
I was content with knowing she was being treated good.
"What about college?" I asked.
"I'm still gonna do my first semester online" I answered.
"Do y'all have a plan?" I asked.
"He wants me to move in with him but I don't know" she said.
I nodded.
"That's a big step but I do agree that both parents should be under the same roof when the baby is here" I admitted.
"So you wouldn't be mad?" I asked.
"You're already pregnant. There isn't much I can do at this point" I sighed.
"I really am sorry dad" she said.
I knew she meant it.
"Don't be babygirl" I said pulling her into a hug.
"Pawpaw Saud does have a little ring to it" she joked.
"Ugly ass shit" I frowned.
