Agape's POV

I witnessed everything. I was already here when Katie attacked them. I can't get a chance to call her, nor stop them, because I was so fascinated by her anger. She's a real monster. And she managed to take three guys down, knowing that they were assassins.

I just knew today that I was trending all over the internet because of the spreading pictures of mine, and the video the guys uploaded. I don't want those people pity me. After all, this is not the first time I was hurt. I just woke upn the next morning, my heart's numb. I was numb. My eyes has no tears to cry anymore. I don't want to see his face, but that will just show how much of a coward I am. If he wanted a talk, go. We'll talk. If he wanted space, I'll give him space. I don't know what happened to me but all I know is ever since that day, I've changed.

"C'mon, everyone. Let's not waste our time, okay?" I said with a half-smile because it's not so genuine at all. More on half-baked smile.

"Agape..." I stared at him. He tried reaching for me but I took some steps back away from him.

"Where were that night when you promised me you'll come, Kirk?" I keep my smile on my face. By this time, I just wanna know. I want to know what was his reason. If it was about his work, if he gave me a clear explanation, fine. I'll forgive him. But if it's about something else, I don't think we can fix this quick.

"I'm so sorry, Agape---"

"I'm asking for your explanation, not your apology because I will never accept that unless I was satisfied by your answer," I said before slapping his hand away who keeps on trying to reach me. His eyes registered pain.

"Rampage," Vaspe called, in a way like he's telling him something. And that is when he gets serious. Until an annoying smirk was formed in his lips. But what he said next surprised everyone. Including me.

"Must be hard sleeping in a cold bench, yeah?" He wipe the blood in his mouth before spitting. Then hids his hands on his pocket.

"I wanna be honest to you now, Agape Clive. You've been fooled." My heart skipped a beat, and I think I forgot how to breathe.

"I, together with my buddies had a bet. It happened when there was a transferee in my school. You know, my life was so boring that I wanted to add thrill on it. So, we decided to have a bet. If it's a boy, of course, the usual way, bully him. And if it was a girl, I'll play with her." He said before chuckling. My eyes starts hurting as my tears welled in my eyes. H-He can't be...

"And it happened to be you. And it was more fun because you were naive. Like, you're really stupid, Agape! Pfft! Everything was just part of my show. And these past few days, I start finding you boring. So, hell yeah. I let you wait for me in that tower---"

Four steps. I took four steps before giving him the strongest slap I could give.

I look at him unbelievingly as I hold myself from letting my tears go. And then I thought my heart's already broken but it's still was not. I balled my fist, lips trembling, I smiled.

I... I shouldn't have asked. I should have just ignored him. And let that painful truth remain concealed. It's not the explanation I was expecting. It's not what I am waiting for. That's not the thing I wanted to hear. That's not...what I was expecting that will come from his mouth.

"How could you do that to Agape---" I raised my hand to stop them from stealing the spotlight from me.

I bowed in front of him.

"L-LADY AGAPE!"

"What are you doing, Agape!?"

I stood straight once again, to see him surprised and caught off guard. I closed my fist, controlling all of my emotions. I forced myself to be calm. I forced myself not to cry. I forced myself to smile. I forced myself...to look okay.
