Chapter 53

Third Person's POV


"Oh~ Are you hungry, baby? Are you hungry? Are you hungry? Haha!"


"Bitch, stop teasing her and just give her to Agape. Stop making her cry everytime!" Katerina can't help buto scold Rossweisse who is making Melinoe cry even more. She pouted and walked out of the twin's room and look for her mother. She saw her on the balcony of her room, rocking Zagreus, touching his face gently.


"You...look like your Daddy..." Rossweisse hid behind the door, listening to her. Melinoe already stop from crying and is now sleeping again. The twin loves to sleep. They rarely cry unless they are bothered by Rossweisse.


"I love you, darling. I will offer my entire life in raising you two. I will support you in anything. And I will never steal your freedom from you." She kiss his forehead and smiled. Zagreus wrap his little fingers around her hand. Agape smuled even more as tears stream down her face, pouring down in Zagreus.


"One day, when you fall inlove, I will let you be with the woman you will love. I will never desert you, I will listen to your stories no matter how lame it is, make you laugh, and will always tell you to smile." Rossweisse looked at Melinoe who was sleeping peacefully in her arms. A tear trail down her cheek and leaved Agape alone with Zagreus. She went back to their room and lay Malinoe in her crib.


"Heard that, baby? You must grow up just like your mother. Sweet, kind, gentle and genuine." She smiled tenderly before putting her pink blanket on her. Katerina played the sweet lullaby. They left the room to give her a peaceful sleep.


Days passed until it became months, and the twins are growing full of love and care because of the people around them. Areszo often plays with his grandchildrens and tour them around the palace. You can often see them in the garden, and from a balcony, Agape watches them down there.


"Okay, baby. Say LAWRENCE."


"No, baby! Say KATERINA."


"That's too long and hard to say, Katie." Agape chuckled before putting Melinoe's shoes on.


"It should be Rossweisseeee~"


The twins is now turning 7 months old, and they are teaching them how to speak and communicate. Agape hold the twins in her both hands while Katerina and Lawrence supports their other hand. Rossweisse was holding her camera, taking perfect shots of them especially the babies. So they will have something to look at when they get older.


Raising twins never been easy. Zagreus always cries even on petty things, he was gentle and calm but shy, he was too behave unlike his sister. While Melinoe teases her brother often, over confident, destroying things that her hand will touch, and plays around. She loves Hide and Seek, and that game always give them a almost heart attack. She's just so good in hiding.




It's Sunday and this is the very first time they will take the twins outside. Agape wanted them to see what it looks like outside, that's why from Greece, they flew to Italy where her lover's homeland is. She just want to roam around. And tell to her kids that this is where their father lives. In a palace. Areszo was supposedly going with them but there was an urgent matter happened. There is still a wall between him and his daughter. But he already knew how to break those walls.


"Daddy?" Melinoe mumbled in the middle of strolling around. Agape froze from her place, while the rest widen their eyes to her.


It was Melinoe's first word!


"M-Melinoe?" Agape knelt in front of her. She glanced at Zagreus who was holding her hand, eyes are teary.


"Daddy..." he mumbled too. Agape felt the extreme loneliness and longingness now that she remembered it again. She was giving her best not to, she wanted to move on and focus on her children but everytime she will close her eyes, the memories of their yesterday flashes back to her mind.


The memories are sweet. But the pain it gives is bitter.


"Daddy!" Melinoe giggled and run towards a man. She let go of Zagreus, leaving him shock thus making him cry. Agape lifted him up and followed Melinoe. She went inside a restaurant and they don't know why.


"MELINOE! STOP! MELINOE!" Agape cried but she continued in her business. Lawrence take Zagreus to her and comforted him.


"Hey, enough. Uncle Lawrence is here. C'mon, buddy. Hush." Zagreus stared at Lawrence. He smiled at him widely. He rested his head on his shoulder and sleeps.



Agape busts inside the restaurant and looked around. "Melinoe!" She worried and dashes to where Melinoe is. Her eyes widened to see Areszo, who was shocked to see Melinoe before her. The man he was talking to looked down at her child, before her.


She gaped at him puzzled.



And breathlessly, she called him.



"Vaspe?"



Vaspe Calypso's POV


[Time setting: The day they came back from visiting the twins in the hospital]


I pushed my self in the couch and rested my back on the soft cushion. I massage my nape and sighed. I was so stressed out because of all the things that happened. Ali's all well now. We witnessed the fight of the century; between her and Areszo. She is scarier than any horror movie when angry. She blames him for his death, the fact that the bastard was just sleeping here. But of course, we didn't told her yet. We don't want to give her the hope now that Rampage is still in comatose state. We still don't know if he will make it to live or not. He must live because I will really hunt his soul in hell!



I sighed once again and stared at the ceiling. Their babies are cute. They are adorable. Though I didn't had the chance to lift them and rock them in my arms. And I could see how will they look in the near future and so their personality. Zagreus will be emotional Prince and Melinoe will be the rebel Princess. It's all written in their faces. Melinoe will be their biggest problem in the future.



I sighed again for the third time and looked at Rampage. Phoenix went in with foods. He put it in the table and sighed too. "Good thing he's awake now." He said before approaching him and sits on his chair. I nodded. Rampage's eyes were following him. And now, he's staring at us.


"That's good. Call the nurse to check him---" I looked at Phoenix with widening eyes.


"HOLY---SHIT! RAMPAGE!?" F-Fuck! He finally opened his eyes!



"NURSE! NURSE! DOC! WHAT THE FUCK! RAMPAGE IS AWAKE NOW!!!!!" Phoenix screamed from the door and jumped in happiness while clapping his hands. He looks like a goddamn happy monkey!




"It is such a good news, Sir. Finally, after almost a year of bedridden, he is now awake. The results of his tests are kinda terrible, but we can assure you that he will be able to move again through therapies. Maybe if he will coordinate with us, he will be good again after a few months." The Doctor reported, giving us the assurance and relief.


"Thanks. You may leave now." I said and went to my chair beside Rampage. The bastard is not yet able to speak. But he could see us.


"You woke up on time. We have a surprise for you." I said and nodded at Phoenix. He took out the pictures of his children. I showed it to him.


"This is Zagreus Kirby. And this one is Melinoe Kirstell." I introduced while pointing at them. "They are your twins. Your Persephone just gave birth to them last, last week. Aren't they cute?" I said and flash the other pictures to him. I look at his reaction. I saw a tear fell down in his eye, until they became like waterfalls.


"Hng....Ga....P-Pe...."


I wipe his tears with the back of my palm and smiled. "You need to recover fast, bastard. They are waiting for you." He smiled. I tapped his back and placed rhe pictures on his chest. Now he has a motivation, I guess he can make it in just a week.



BUT NO.



It's already 3 months but the fucktard was still learning on how to walk again due to the bullets that hit his thighs and legs. He'a fucking lucky, it was a miracle that he managed to live after all of that. But the best thing in that, none of his body part was paralyzed. He can now talk, and his fucking laziness and stubborness makes me want to kill him for real.


"Here, eat this shit." I said and slam the vegetable salad on his lap. He frowned.


"Nah. I want pizza." I erupted and punched him in the face. I'm pissed!


"EAT THIS SALAD!!!!!"


"W-WAAAAH! VASPE! DON'T KILL HIM, MAN!" Phoenix cried and pushed me away from him. Fucking bastard!




It's already his 7th month, and he is perfectly well now. We already discharged him, and we already planned everything. And today, we are heading to United Kingdom after we call them for a meeting. And when I said 'them', I mean all the royal fucking families in this whole rotten world. He wanted to settle things before he showed up to them. He wanted everything to be settled so that when they have each other again, there will be no more hindrances. He wanted to settle down with peace. But if they will refuse his proposal,



They know what will happen.


He don't mind tainting his hands with blood again if that will bring tranquility to them. I know him well. If a thing didn't went on how he wanted it to happen, it will be their doom.




"Good morning, motherfuckers!" He greeted to everyone after he opened the doors. He busted in, carefree, and confident. Their jaws drop. My eyes laid to Areszo.


"R-Rampage...Kirk?" Their eyes went round and turned pale. Everyone knows how guilty they are for his death. Though, on the other hand, it was the right thing, but a Princess begged for them and pleaded. Their consciences hunts them even in their sleep.


It became one of the greatest debate in the history too. Whether if Rampage Kirk deserved it or his father since he was the one who orders him. Should they punish the one that gives him orders or he who accepted them and done them? Others sided Rampage, asserting he was innocent and was just a victim too. Even the churches entered the debate. Mentioning that it was against the 10 Commandments of the god, that he deserved it to atone for his sins, and some others say he deserved a second chance.


But I don't know what kind of issue will rise again once they knew he was alive.


"How come you are still alive!?" It was the King of Spain. Rampage sat on an empty seat. We stood behind him.


"What are you doing, Vaspe?" My eyebrows furrowed.


"What? I'm standing."


"You're a Prince too so sit down. You too, Phoenix. This is my order." My jaw drop. My eyes rolled upon hearing the word 'Prince'. Prince my ass! As if I will accept that!


"It doesn't matter how and why I was still alive. I am here to settle things with you, and if you refuse to accept it, I guess you know what might happen here, right?" He smiled. Their jaws fell.


"This is absurd! You're already dead! What are you, an impostor!?"


"Oh my, dear. Don't call me an impostor because there is only one Rampage Kirk the Great in this world. Unless there is another me in the parallel universe, it might be. Or my doppleganger." He joked, and I just rolled my eyes on him. He then became serious.


"I am here not to pursue you but to tell you that, I am here, in front of you, to settle everything between us. If you will try to sentence me to death again, much better if I kill you all right here, right now. After all, it wasn't my fault if I survived, right? I don't cheat. Y'all saw how those fucking royal guards shot me without thinking twice nor holding back. I now have a family, and I already retired from being an assassin. I want to give them the life they deserve. I also listen to one person and that is Agape. I could defy any rules too because of her." He started. He nodded at me. Phoenix handed me the folders that I handed to him.


"I'm willing to have a pact with you. You van see that only Agape has the power to control me, dominate me, or whatever she wanted to do to me. Make me do good, I will do good. Make friends with you, I will make friends with you. This second life of mine is hers, not yours." Each one of them checks it out.


"And what if we refused to sign this?"


"Well, damn you. I don't effin' fucking care if you will sign that or not. Its up to you if you will choose not to forget and forgive. If you really wanted peace, then sign that. If you don't want to, then fight me. Your entire clan will go extinct in this crust. That's why i'm giving you two choices: sign that and I will be good to you or refuse to sign that and your filthy bloods will shed here. Pretty simple, right?" The Kings and the Queens starts whispering to each other. Despite that we cpuld here it aloud, their simple talk became a debate until it ended up into a fight.


They just ceased when Areszo stood up, and bowed to them.


"I'm begging you, Kings and Queens. Please accept his proposal." Our eyes widened.


"K-King Areszo!?"


He remained on his position. "I am saying this as a father, not as a King. I will do anything I can just sign the papers. Strip me off of my position, I will accept that. As a father, I do no longer want to see my daughter cry. I witness how her world fell apart when she lose him. How she tried taking her own life too. How she almost give her twins away just because she was scared that I might see them, and take their freedom away too just like what I did to her. All I know is that everything I do is for her, forgetting that her life belongs to her, that deserves to have her freedom, she has the rights I counderstand why she despise me. And if returning him to her is the only way we can fix our relationship, I will do. Even if all of you was against them, I will stand against you and let them. I hope you will understand. I am just a father that failed doing and fulfilling my duties to her as one." I looked at Rampage who was grinning secretly. Their buzzes began once again, until they were silenced when the Queen cleared her throat.


"Let's drop the formalities and understand each other. Everyone in here is already a mother and a father, and as a parent, I won't blame King Areszo if he will bring his pride down just for his daughter's sake. I know you are a good father, King Areszo. I know you are, and you can be a father again. I am signing this pact." She smiled. I bit my lip, trying to hide my smile. Phoenix elbowed me and wheezes. Rampage just grinned even more as he watches the Queen sign it.


Areszo stood up and was in tears as he thank her. "No problem, King Areszo. I know how well you and Lovia raised her. I can't wait to see her build a nation with her Prince."


"It ain't a nation. It's KINGDOM." Rampage corrected and the Queen just laughed.


"I understand. As a father, I am willing to do everything just for my daughters too. I am doing this for you, King Areszo. Not for him." The King of Spain hissed at Rampage then signs it. Until everyone made up their minds and signed it too.


"About your father, Prince Ralei, we haven't seen him---"


"I don't fucking care about that bastard. Once you saw him, kill him. And we're good." He simply said before collecting the folders.


"Since you signed this, we are now allies. You are welcome to attend our wedding soon. Next year." He announced. I let out a sigh. He's surprising everyone too much. He is giving him heart attacks!


"N-Next year!?"


"Yeah. Any problem with that?" They shook their heads in response.


"Then, this meeting is done. Dismissed." We stood up and left them right afterwards.


"What's next, man?" I asked and checked my wrist watch. "Baby is looking for me. She wants me to fetch her up in the airport tonight."


"My Sexy Baby!?" I glared at Phoenix. He pouted. Gross.


"Talk to Areszo. I don't want to waste any more time. I want to see my kids already. And Agape. I can't wait any longer." I nodded.


"Okay then. I'll go talk to him later." I opened ths door of our car and went inside. Phoenix volunteered to drive. My eyes caught Hades.


I called him. "Hey, you." I caught his attention. He was surprised, to see me, and a little bit puzzled for the sudden call. "Tell your master that we'll talk later." I gave him the name of a restaurant and the time before we left. I hope everything will be settled now for everyone's good.

"Waaah~ Vaspey~ I'm glad you are here, baby boy! I'm so happy~" Baby cried in happiness before jumping to give me a hug. I just stared at her with so much boredom before pushing her away.


"Where's Cakeu and Phoenix? I heard he was still slive? Aww, I really cried in my penthouse after I watched the live execution. I hope he was fine." I just stated at her, and rolls my eyes. I grab her wrist ang her bag before pulling her to where our private plane was. I should have told her to go straight in Italy. Tsk.


"You're so annoying. The bastard's fine. How are you doing in your life? Any suitors?"


"Oh, no suitors, baby boy!" She chuckled. I was in relief to hear that.


She's Baby Ianira Aurora Dolce, my only cousin in my mother's side. She was a multi-doctor, and when I said multi, she could actually do different kinds of doctoring. Surgeon, ob-gyne, physician---just to name few. I don't know why, but she really love studying about everything in doctoring field. I heard she's a personal doctor of a star, but I don't care as long as she gets paid for her service.


She is the very first woman we ever trusted. The softest, innocent, kind, gentle, and purest. Actually, we see her as our sister. Our treasure. Without her, no one will treat our injuries. We owe her a lot. So in return, protecting her is our only way we see to repay her.


They rejoiced when they saw each other. I showed Phoenix my gun and waves at him. He's a fucking flirt, I knew that very well. Bastards like him should be kept an eye on and guarded.


We went inside the plane and their talk was just so annoying. It's good to see her happy and get along with them. I could somehow see Clive on her, but Baby is much softer than her. Nah, stop comparing them both, Vaspe.


"I already talked to Areszo. He said that Agape was planning to go to Italy too just to visit your hometown. That's a perfect time. What are you going to do?" I pour some whiskey on my shot glass and leaned my back.


"We'll open the gates of our palace."


"You see yourself as a Prince now?" I mocked. He sarcastically smiled.


"It's for Agape. I respect her as the next Queen of Greece. And I just don't want her to be a Princess. I want her to be a Queen. With me as her King."


"Stop depending all of your decisions to her, Rampage. 'It's for Agape,' 'I'm doing this for Agape,'---your decisions is for you to decide. Stop depending on her. Be independent."


"Vaspe---"


"Commit yourself to her but not your decisions. That will be your weakness if ever. If you won't listen to me, it's not my fault anymore. I'm just telling you what you must do. Stop proving that you are nothing but a puppet to dominate. Grow up and change to the way you think will be good at you. In the way where you will have an advantage. It's not all about 'for her'. It needs to be 'for me'." I stated and wore my earphones. They are dumbfounded, until I saw Baby smiled at me and applauses. I rolled my eyes.



I sounded like a real fucking father in that part.
