Chapter 28

*Xander's POV*

Waking up next to my mate must be the most perfect thing I've ever experienced, her face was facing my chest and I felt her warm breath, she was still deep in sleep while I was thinking about last night's events as my wolf rejoiced  "she finally accepted us, she wants us!" he kept chanting.

It was truly a fulfilling feeling knowing that we have have completed our mating process, she was officially the Luna of the Crescent moon pack. We were bound for life, what humans would normally call marriage. Now all that was left was to formally introduce her to my pack, our pack.

I got up to prepare breakfast. I was having a good day and was pretty sure nothing could spoil it for me. So I headed downstairs to start making breakfast after freshening up. While busy I mindlinked my beta "Gather the pack at the pack house this afternoon at 2 pm. I'll be presenting their Luna to them"

He immediately responded "on it alpha". Afterwards I continued making breakfast as I felt my mates presence as an indication. I decided to try something with her hoping she wouldn't freak out. I mindlinked her "good morning beautiful, take a shower and come down for breakfast"  then I waited.......

"Xander!!" she yelled as she ran down the stairs "what the hell was that!  How did you do that?" she said with her eyes wide opened and I couldn't help but laugh. Her shocked state was adorable

"I mindlinked you" I said calmly

"You got into my brain?" she asked  still with a high pitched voice

"yes, something like that, we can communicate using our minds now. Try it"

"how?"

" focus on sending me a message, only you're doing it through your mind not verbally"

She kept quiet and concentrated for a while, it took a while seeing it was her first time but she finally managed "hey"

I smiled as she processed it

"how was I able to do that, I'm human"

"It comes with the mate bond, so last night when I marked you it was the beginning of it, yes you are human but the wolf society now considers you as one of their own, and wherever you go, should you run into wolves of other territories they will also know that you are of the Crescent moon pack and that you are the luna"

"how will they know?"

"again, last night, our scents got mixed together and that Mark on your neck" her hand immediately traveled to her neck and she touched the bite mark

"go get ready, we've got a long day today, after breakfast we will go to the pack house to present you to your new pack"

"I don't think I brought the right outfit for that"

"I'll ask Kayla to bring something for you" she nodded as she went back upstairs

*Ava's POV*

After bathing I slipped into my black leggings and white t-shirt and headed downstairs for breakfast, Xander had gone all out. I felt spoilt. I couldn't help but think of last night, it made me blush each time but I tried so hard to compose myself.

One thing that was worrying me was our meeting that afternoon, what would the pack think of me, would they accept me. Would they see me fit as Xander's mate, the thought of it all made me lose my appetite and I my attention was brought back by Xander when he reached for my hand

"hey, don't worry. They will love and respect you"

I remembered that he can hear my thoughts too "you sound too sure" I said
