Dear Stranger

And just like that we were strangers
Strangers with memories so fimilar they woke us up in the middle of the night,
Flashbacks we couldn't fight.

But time and distance are cruel things you see,
They make us believe that what was once a reality
Could never again be.

But a part of me still looks for you in my favorite books
Between the lines like you always told me to read.

In the colors that light up the sky at 12 am

Reminding me of the spark that died a little too soon,
And a little too fast.

So dear little stranger I hope you remember me,
When the night goes dark and the fireworks are all you can see. 🎆
