The climb was challenging, it wasn't suprise, seeing as you and Icekit were only two moons old. When you finally reached where you saw Mudtail, she had already dissapeared, but you could see where lots of the branches of the tree intertwined. This section was interlaced with twigs to make a den. I was right! you thought proudly. It is a tree den. You and your brother hopped in the den only to come face to face with Daisystar, leader of Meadowclan.
He must have been talking to his deputy as Mudtail was there too. You started backing away nervously, worried Daisystar would be mad. But Daisystar just looked amused, and Mudtail looked friendly. "Are you Cottontuft's kits?" asked the deputy.
"Yup!" Icekit answered quickly and you both made a swift exit. You could have sworn you heard Daisystar and Mudtail laughing behind you.
Your paws had barely touched the ground when you heard growling. Dogs! you realised fearfully.
