School had ended , as the hallway was bustling with kids wanting to go home or spend a few hours in the town square , Jess was at her locker getting the books she needed for homework , When Chloe appeared leaning on the locker beside her's , her digital Camera in hand
" just look at these tracks , they been popping up all over town" Chloe says excitedly hoping to have a lead to a new story showing Jess her digital camera a picture of big paw prints etched into the dirt , scrolling through the photo she notices something
Jess shook her head " these are griffin tracks Chloe , as in Grandville Griffins , its probably just a homecoming prank " She explains handing her back her camera seeing Chloe face fall " sorry " Jess adds as she finishes getting the book from the locker
" Well there goes another Story" Chloe sighs " I need to find something , something that will get me noticed by The Daily Planet "
That was always her dream to work for the Daily Planet , Chloe wasn't meant to live this small town life , after living in Metropolis her whole life untill 3 years ago , Smallville was just a forced layover on her way back to Metropolis as Chloe liked to put it
" Im sure you'll find something Chloe " Jess assures as she closed her locker " If there a story in Smallville you'll find it"
