Azaela and Apricorn Time

Our heroes finally arrive at Azaela Town and stop at the pokemon center for some needed rest and recovery.
Ash remembers the first thing he needs to do is help Kurt, a friend of Professor Oak's, to pick some Apricorns for making pokeballs.

"Hey guys, after we go to the gym, we need to go by Kurt's."Ash said, though Misty seems puzzled and asks "Ash, who's Kurt?" Falkner recognizes the name and says "I think he's a pokeball maker in this town."
Ash nods at that and says "He's also Professor Oak's friend. He needs us to help him gather Apricorns."

The two seems to understand, but Misty is still a bit confused. "What are apricorns?" Brock answers with "It's the main ingredient to make pokeballs. Makes sense we need to gather that for a pokeball maker."
Ash nods at this and says "Luckily, he farms a lot of apricorn trees so it won't be difficult."

After resting, they go to Kurt's house, a little brown hair girl was there with Kurt. "Kurt, I'm here." Ash said, Kurt looks over happily. "Ash! Wonderful to see you again! Look at how much you've grown!" They shook hands. The girl looks confused and asks "Grandpa? Who's this?" Kurt turns to the girl. "Maizie, this is Junior Professor Ash. You wouldn't remember him since you were a very little when you two have met."

Maizie looks interested and says "Grandpa was very interested in you. He even watched some pokemon league championships, my guess is to find you." Kurt nods and says "And he's the champion of Kanto and the Orange Islands." Maizie looks excited and exclaims "Awesome! Can you help me train our Slowpoke?!" Ash blushes modestly and answers "I dont see why not, but we should start training after the harvest." Maizie nods and replies with "Thank you! Wait, who are those two? I seen Falkner in the Violet Gym before, but I never seen you two." Maizie points to Misty and Brock when asking.

"I'm Misty and I plan to be a water pokemon master!" Misty says, Brock then says "I'm Brock, I'm training to be a pokemon breeder."
Maizie nods and goes to the back door. "Come on! The apricorn trees are out here!"

They all go outside, seeing many trees, Maizie explaining how the apricorns can be used for making special pokeballs depending on color.
"White apricorns makes Fast Balls, which helps with catching fast pokemon, pink apricorns are used to make Love Balls, which us easier catching pokemon of the opposite gender of your pokemon you're using to weaken them, yellow apricorns becomes Moon Balls, which help catch pokemon that evolve with a Moon Stone, green apricorns are used to make Friend Balls, which makes the user and pokemon become friends quickly, red apricorns are used for Level Balls, which is good for pokemon that are lower level then your own pokemon, blue apricorns are great for Lure Balls, which are perfect for fishing pokemon, and black apricorns can be Heavy Balls which are good to catch pokemon that weigh a lot." Maizie explains.

Ash said "I recall Kurt explaining that when he came to visit Professor Oak when I was studying with him." Falkner nods and says "I read about them in Johto Today when the journalist interviewed Kurt.

Maizie smiles. "Glad to see an expert besides me compared to those two. No offense." Misty seems a bit annoyed, but doesn't say anything while Brock chuckles nervously at the comment.
Maizie laughs and says "You can even find some wild pokemon in the trees and fields. Feel free to catch any."

Ash smiles and Misty lights up and asks "Hey, are there any lakes or rivers with water pokemon close by?"
Maizie nods and says "There's a nearby lake. Feel free to go there after the harvesting the apricorns."

The group nods and gets to work.
Ash harvests many apricorns of each color, as does Falkner, but Misty only gets the blue apricorns and Brock with the black and white apricorns.
Ash and Brock finds and catches a Pineco. Ash scans his.
