Lydias pov

"don't growl at me boy remember your place plus I have told you before If you are nice to people and don't listen to the rumors witch are more like warnings people will disrespect you and possible kill you for it"

I really didn't like how it  was talking to his son but as much as I wanted to get involved I couldn't

For Locklans saftey

*but mate should know he probebly thinks we are cruel*

*then we should keep it that way Daisy that way he will not come near us*.

Daisy whines in my head

*just remembered this is for his saftey daisy we carnt risk him getting hurt"

With my last words in I block Daisy

Lisa still beside me asks if we should say anything I say no and that she could go if she would like she urgently agrees and leaves

Whilst I'm stuck listening to it scold my mate

"they are just rumors, rumors are not the truth they are lies spread or the truth twisted"

"you seriously need to get your head together boy"

It glares at his son then turns to me

"you stay away from my son or you know what will happen"

He turns to walk away but turns back to me

"oh and just remmember I know who and what you truly are Alpha Maze so carful you are currently on thin ice"

Hurt and anger flash in my eyes and daisy growls as he leaves

How dare that bastard threaten us

I was pulled out of thought when Locklan addresses me and speaks

"Alpha Maze are you okay, I'm sorry for my father's behaviour he can be quite rude"

I gritted my teeth and lied

"it's okay I understand"

Clearly he picked up on it though

"it's not okay he shouldn't have spoke to you that way I will speak to him and I promise he will never even think a bad thing about you again"

I mummble "good luck with that"

I smile inside myself at how cute he is at trying to help

Then he takes my hand and sparks explode under his touch and I feel a even stronger pull towards him

I quickly pull away Daisy whining as I do so I see hurt flash in his face

"I have to go Locklan"

And with that I turn to leave not wanting to look back seeing his heart shatter in front of me

Locklans pov

I saw sadness and anger in her eyes so I took her hand in mine feeling sparks in between us

But she pulled away I felt hurt

Did she not realise we are mates

*of course not dumbass I feel her wolf she was whining as she pulled back'

*but why did she pull back and why is she leaving*

*I don't know I think somethings wrong she is scared*

I felt so confused but my wolf Duncan convinced me to go after her after a few seconds she left

Her scent was still in the air and fresh but she was not here I didn't like it I needed her with me so I go out of the room following her scent

It leads me to the third floor and to a door I presumed her room since her scent was super strong here my head was spinning

It made me want to, no need to be with her

I knock on the door hoping she will let me in

I didn't know what I did but I couldn't stand the thought of her upset with something I said or did

*she is not upset with us*

*yes she is that's the only explanation, it has to be Duncan*

Before Duncan could reply I block him

I knock again with more urgancy

I hear her come over to the door but she doesn't open it

Just knowing she is on the other side made Duncan leap with excitement

"Alpha Maze are you okay?"

"I.. I'm fine, I'm sorry for leaving you but you should go"

Lydia's pov

How did he do this to me after I became alpha I have never felt weak or vulnerable yet here he is and has already broke down some walls

I didn't like it

"I can't do that, you can let me in and we can talk or we can continue to talk out here where people could walk past and easily overhear"

I sighs and slowly open the door and I see him poke his head through

He walks in and leans again the wall with his hand in his pockets

"I'm sorry I overstepped I wasn't thinking strait I was just so surprised and happy to have found you and your sent is so intoxicating I couldn't concentrate"

What was he on about

"I'm sorry I touched you it won't happen without your concent again but please don't push me away, will you give me a second chance"

My heart broke at the though of him blaming himself for running off

"it wasn't you it."

"it would be wrong of me to tell you I'm sorry it will break you and I don't want to harm you"

"hey I can take it I'm stronger than I look"

he shows off his arm muscle and winks

I laugh at him because well I don't quite know

Wait I laughed, not a fake laugh because I'm trying to express my self in some way but I laughed because I wanted to I didn't even have to think about it

I hadn't laughed properly since I was seven

I looked over to him and catch him smiling proudly at his self

"what?"

"nothing, it just nice to see you laugh and smile in the ball room you had a blank expression or a frown on your face"

There was a awkward silence for a few minutes

"Alpha Maze can I ask you some thing?"

Oh screw it it doesn't matter if I get to know him does it or he gets to know me, he clearly won't leave me alone

So I smile

"sure and call me Lydia when know one is around"

The greatest smile was on his face
