"Auradon Prep, originally built over 300 years ago and converted into a high school by my father when he became king," Ben told the VK's. They were standing in front of a statue of King Beast when Ben clapped his hands and the statue transformed into a beast. Ruby watched in awe as the statue changed. She liked it much better in this beast form. Carlos didn't agree with her though, since he screamed and jumped into Jay's arms when the statue changed.

"Carlos, stop being a wimp. It's just a statue," Ruby snapped at him.

"She's right, Carlos, it's only a statue. It's okay. My father wanted it to morph from beast to man to remind us that anything is possible," Ben explained. Ruby scoffed at that. It sounded like a load of crap to her. Ben frowned at her.

"Does he shed much?" Mal asked, gaining Ben's attention.

"Yeah, Mom won't let him on the couch," He was quick to retort. Ruby barked a laugh.

"Now that I'd like to see." She chuckled. They then followed Ben into the castle functioning as school. Audrey was clinging onto his arm and Ruby honestly didn't get how Ben wasn't annoyed by it yet.

Ruby looked around the foyer and decided that it didn't look terrible. It wasn't nearly as dark and gloomy as Dragon Hall, their school on the Isle, but it was okay. Most of it was made out of wood and the carpet was a dark blue, which wasn't that bad. She thought they could lessen on the amount of school banners though.

"So, you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon? Like wands and things like that?" Mal asked. Ruby joined Mal's side as Ben answered.

"Yeah, it exists of course, but it's pretty much retired," Ben said. Ruby raised an eyebrow.

"What? No classes in using magic to help others and make the world a brighter place and such?" She asked sarcastically. Ben laughed, much to her surprise, and shook his head.

"No, nothing of the sorts. Most of us here are just ordinary mortals."

"Who happen to be kings and queens." Mal scoffed.

"That's true. Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years," Audrey boasted while grabbing Ben's arm and putting it around her shoulders.

"Maybe you should carry a sign saying that. Since you seem to want everybody to know about it," Ruby taunted. Audrey glared and opened her mouth but Ben cut her off.

"Doug. Doug, come down," He said, pulling his arm away from Audrey. A guy—Doug—came down the stairs wearing a band uniform and glasses. "This is Doug. He's going to help you with your class schedules and show you the rest of the dorms," Ben said. He then walked closer to the VK's again, well, closer to Ruby to be specific. He locked eyes with her and didn't look away when he said, "I'll see you later, okay? And if there's anything you need, feel free to—"

"Ask Doug," Audrey finished for Ben, earning her an annoyed look from the prince. Ben chuckled uncomfortably while Audrey started pulling him away. Ruby couldn't help herself as her eyes followed the prince while he left. This caused her to miss Doug's introduction, but she did catch Mal saying,

"Let me guess. New class?" Doug nodded. "Come on, guys. Let's go find our dorms," Mal said. The VKs all headed up the stairs until Doug called them down and told them their dorms were the other way.

It didn't take the girls long until they found their dorm and when they opened the door Ruby's jaw dropped. She took a look inside the entirely pink room. She stood there for about three seconds before shaking her head.

"Nope. I'm out," She said, turning on her heel and walking out the door. Mal went after her and pulled her back towards their dorms again. "But Mal!" She whined.
