Character Pokemon Teams and Headcannons

Cordelia Carstairs

Here it is!! The first of the Shadowhunter Pokemon teams!! First one up to the table is Cordelia!!

Pokemon: Doublade   Gender: Female   Types: Steel & Ghost   Ability: No Guard

Moves: Swords Dance, Shadow Claw, Iron Head, Sacred Sword

Doublade is Cordelia's first Pokemon and her main fighter. I gave her the Sword Pokemon in relation to her favorite weapon, the Carstair family sword, Cortana. In this Pokemon-Shadowhunter world, Honedge and it's evolutionary line, and Steel Type Pokemon in general, would be the traditional Pokemon partner for the family.

Pokemon: Meowth    Gender: Female   Type: Normal    Ability: Technician

Moves: Fake Out, Pay Day, Assurance, Play Rough

Cordelia's next Pokemon is Kantonian/Regular Meowth, because A) Cordelia and her family spent most of their time traveling and B) is can Gigantamax. I also chose this Pokemon for her because is was stated on her character card that Cordelia's favorite animal is the Persian Cat, which is what Meowth is based on.

Pokemon: Spritzee    Gender: Female    Type: Fairy    Ability: Healer

Moves: Draining Kiss, Attract, Psychic, Thunderbolt

I chose to give Cordelia a Spritzee due to the fact that Cassandra Clare stated that Cordelia has a fascination with perfumes and fragrances. I'd also imagine that this would be the type of Pokemon Cordelia would bring with her to a ball or gathering, as it could easily fit on her shoulder. I'd also imagine that Spritzee and Meowth, where originally not meant to be battlers and were first owned as pets and companions for Cordelia, as I would imagine that it was not "proper" for ladies to be battlers.

Name: Mienfoo    Gender: Female    Type: Fighting    Ability: Regenerator

Moves: Drain Punch, U-Turn, Acrobatics, Poison Jab

Meinfoo is the last of Cordelia's current Pokemon team (these teams will be based on their strengths and actions in Chain of Gold). I'd imagine Cordelia would have a relatively small team in comparison to some of the other characters since she traveled a lot and, as mentioned with Spritzee, she would not be expected to be battling a lot since she is a girl. Anyways, I gave her Mienfoo as a way to once again show how much she has traveled, as Mienfoo was not originally available in Pokemon Sword and Shield, and was only brought in to the region thanks to the addition of the Isle of Armor. I'd also imagine that Mienfoo would be more of a battler and one of Cordelia's stronger Pokemon, behind Doublade of course.
