Character Pokemon Teams and Headcannons

Matthew Fairchild

It is now Matthew's turn to get his Pokemon team listed! Since Matthew is such a flamboyant bi boy, he would want a really beautiful and powerful team, and I hope you all agree that is what I gave him. 

Nickname: Oscar    Pokemon: Boltund    Gender: Male    Type: Electric    Ability: Strong Jaw

Moves: Thunder Fang, Fire Fang, Crunch, Psychic Fangs

Boltund/Oscar is, of course, here representing Matthew's pet Golden Retriever dog, Mr. Oscar Wilde, who he basically has the same backstory as: founded on the streets by James (as a Yamper) and given to Matthew as a birthday present. However, Oscar is not Matthew's first Pokemon, that honor goes too...  

Nickname: Lottie    Pokemon: Cinccino    Gender: Female    Type: Normal    Ability: Cute Charm

Moves: Last Resort, Iron Tail, Dig, U-Turn

Lottie the Cinccino!!! Given to Matthew as a Minccino by his mother to help him both look after and help clean up after his father Henry, Lottie went with Matthew to the Shadowhunter Academy and was there to comfort him through some of his darker times. After evolving into Cinccino, it not only became one of Matthew's strongest battlers and greatest supporter next to James.

Nickname: Jocelyn    Pokemon: Ninetales    Gender: Female    Type: Fire    Ability: Flash Fire

Moves: Flamethrower, Nasty Plot, Extrasensory, Energy Ball

Matthew caught Jocelyn the Ninetales as a way to beat Alastair Carstairs, who had decided to specialize in Steel Types per the Carstairs family tradition. Plus it is a very beautiful Pokemon.

Nickname: Matilda    Pokemon: Milotic    Gender: Female    Type: Water    Ability: Marvel Scale

Moves: Surf, Safeguard, Disarming Voice, Twister

Matthew caught Matilda the Milotic as a Feebas not long before the events of Cast Long Shadows took place. After Charlotte's miscarriage, he decided to name the Feebas Matilda both as a way to honor the sister he never got to know as well as a constant reminder of his greatest sin.

Nickname: Magnus    Pokemon: Sylveon    Gender: Male    Type: Fairy    Ability: Cute Charm 

Moves: Draining Kiss, Swift, Light Screen, Mystical Fire

Matthew has a Sylveon because of the Fairchilds typically having Fairy Type Pokemon partners and because I felt like it fit Matthew the best. Also I named him Magnus after, of course, the fabulous Magnus Bane we all know and live.
