Character Pokemon Teams and Headcannons

Thomas Lightwood

Pokemon: Noctowl    Gender: Male    Type: Normal & Flying    Ability: Insomnia

Moves: Uproar, Air Slash, Extrasensory, Moonblast

I chose Noctowl as Thomas's first Pokemon because owls are Thomas's favorite animal. Noctowl is also Thomas's first Pokemon and is a very smart battler.

Pokemon: Roserade    Gender: Male    Type: Grass & Poison    Ability: Natural Cure

Moves: Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball, Dazzling Gleam

Roserade for the rose compass tattoo that Thomas got while he was in Spain, though I imagine that Thomas had him since he was a Budew and way before he left for his travel year. 

Pokemon: Blastoise    Gender: Male    Type: Water    Ability: Torrent

Moves: Flash Cannon, Surf, Ice Beam, Aura Sphere

Blastoise was one of the Pokemon that Thomas got on his travel year. When choosing between Charmander, Bulbasaur or Squirtle, everyone thought he would pick Charmander per the Lightwood Fire type tradition, but he instead picked Squirtle because the tiny water turtle reminder him of himself.

Pokemon: Snorlax    Gender: Male    Type: Normal    Ability: Thick Fat

Moves: Body Slam, Heavy Slam, High Horsepower, Zen Headbutt

I chose Snorlax for Thomas's next Pokemon, mainly because how big and strong it is, and everyone in Chain of Gold was commenting on how much Thomas grew during his year away.

Pokemon: Volcarona    Gender: Female    Type: Bug & Fire    Ability: Flame Body

Moves: Quiver Dance, Fiery Dance, Giga Drain, Bug Buzz

This's actually Thomas's newest team member. After he got how, a lot of his friends, mainly Matthew, was suggesting he get a Fire type Pokemon. Mainly to balance out his team, but also beacuse Matthew has a personal vendetta with Alastair Carstairs, who specializes in Steel types. James suggested a quick trip out to the Isle of Armor to catch one and Volcarona was the lucky Pokemon.
