Aiden's POV

He eventually was able to bring me back up to the house and sit me down at the house. He was now sitting across from me. Adam's eyes never leave mine. Dead... He was suppose to be dead... No other thought could be processed except these few words. "I knew I remembered you from somewhere and this whole time I wasn't able to put my finger on where" he replies. His mouth opens about to add on but suddenly was interrupted by a pounding at the door. Adam jumps up and runs to the door. I follow and peak my head around the corner as he opens the door slowly. "Where's my daughter?" my mother asks drunkenly. "Who are you? Why would you think she'd be here if I don't even know you?" He asks, standing tall. "I saw her come here. Give her to me. She's worthless. A nuisance that no one likes. So I'm getting rid of the problem. Give her to me now" my mother demands. "N-" Adam starts but I cut him off. "Adam it's okay. I'll go" I answer, walking towards the door. The door shuts fast as Adam hugs me fast. I hug back before pulling away and walking outside to meet the devil once again. She suddenly slaps me hard across the face. I tear up and hold my cheek in my hand. I turn back and see Adam stand there, with hurt in his eyes. A fake smile spreads across my face as I follow my mother back down to her car. "I'm driving you're too wasted" I say, in the kindest way possible. My mother scoffs, sliding into the passenger seat. I look back up at Adam's house as I see him still standing there. A soft tear glides down my cheek as I slide into the car. I pull out of the driveway and take note of Adam's address, driving away. "Just wait till we get home, you'll wish you would've never ran away. Even better never wish that you were born" my mother chokes out. "Believe me. I wish that second one everyday..." I say under my breath. As soon as the words leave my mouth I'm backhanded, almost losing control of the car. I clench my hands on the wheel tightly, my blood beginning to boil. As soon as I pull into the apartment plex parking lot, I jump out of the car and dart upstairs. I had to get to my room before she did anything. "AIDEN!" her voice trails behind me. I run faster, pushing open our living room door as a blow to my back pushes me on to the floor. Her terrifying voice laughs as she cowers down at me. "And to think that you came from me. You are nothing like me. You are ugly, a whore, a depressed emo, and a slut. You are meaningless! Nothing! A waste of a life!" she yells at me, kicking me in the stomach as each sentence leaves her mouth. "I'd rather be a slut, whore and emo then be your daughter!!" I scream as she throws a punch to my head. Suddenly she grabs a match and shows it in front of my face, lighting it. "As you're favorite band would say, light em up!" she snickers, throwing one match after the other on to my bare legs and arms. I scream in pain. Why can't she just kill me? I'd rather be dead then go through this. I start to try to stand up but she kicks me in the side then gives me another blow to the head. My eyes are covered in water from the new tears sliding down my face. The world starts to spin, becoming blurry. Yelling and screaming happens all around me but I pay no attention to it. I was more concerned on if I was finally getting the chance to leave this forsaken world. Darkness covered me in a warm blanket as my vision becomes a faint memory.
