BIANCA

I had only one thought as I handed a dracma to the ferry person. It was the same thought I had as I crossed the river. That exact same thought was the one I had as I drifted among the others to a huge line. And that thought was confirmed as I got to the front of the line and was judged by some judges. I was dead.

The three judges were the ones who decided where I was to go in the Underworld. I could go to the Fields of Asphodel, the Fields of Punishment,  or Elysium. They quickly came to a conclusion: Elysium. While judging me, the three judges opened up my history, and revealed my past, the time before the Lotus Casino. They revealed the prophecy, and how my mother died because of it.

At last, I was speeded through to Elysium. My first sight of it were the neighborhoods from all different ages. As I traveled on, the other ghosts were all pulled away to the Fields of Asphodel or Punishment. I was the only one allowed to go through Elysium's gates.

After drifting through the gates, I was amazed by the sight. People of all variety crowded around the Underworld Gardens, barbecuing burgers. Along one side of the village, the neighborhoods stretched. Then, there was a meadow, with black grass. Couples were sprawled out in the grass. Everyone seemed to know each other. I sighed. I had never fit in like that. For a while, I debated whether or not I should join in. For a long time, I just stood there.

I finally gathered up the courage to go down and introduced myself. I heard a call go up from the village square, "Let all gather in the square! I have an announcement!"

Everyone rushed to the village square, including me. The announcer asked, "Would our newest resident please come up to the plat form?"

I hesitated a little while, then decided it was safe. I ran up to the platform.

"Hades has given us a new resident!" he exclaimed. "Welcome to Elysium, Bianca, daughter of Hades!" The crowd cheered, and quickly dispersed.

Elysium may have been nothing like how I imagined it. However. it was much better than Asphodel or Fields of Punishment.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I certainly enjoyed writing it! It was a little short, but I promise I will make them longer in the future. Here's a question about the PJO/HOO series. The first person who answers it correctly will get a dedication.

In what book does Nico try to bring Bianca back to life?
