Your boyfriend, Alfred, persuaded you to go watch a fireworks show. He was literally bursting with joy. How you were getting ready, he was dancing around the room, softly saying how happy he was.

Looking through your closet, you picked out a (f/c) t-shirt, a light jacket, and ripped jeans. After that, you found your favorite shoes and put them on.

"I'm ready," you called out to him.

The two of you got in your car, you as the driver and him in the passenger seat. He showed you where the place was on his phone. It was 9:27 p.m.; the two of you should be there around 9:53 p.m.

Music was playing. Every now and then you or him would say something. Something didn't feel right. The car started to slow down until it eventually came to a stop.

"Uh, dude/dudette... why did the car just stop?" he asked, obviously panicking.

"Damnit..." you said under your breath. "The car is out of gas."

"You gotta be kidding! This has to be a joke!" he cried. "It's really creepy out here!"

You looked around, you couldn't see any lights. No gas stations hidden behind the trees, no vehicles, nothing except trees, darkness, you, and Alfred.

"Don't worry, Alfie, I have a flashlight in here," you tried to reassure him. After some searching, you couldn't find it.

"(Y/n)!" he whined, "Where is it?"

"I don't know. We can just use our phone flashlights. Even though they're not as bright..."

The two of you talked for a bit, trying to figure out what to do. You both finally decided on getting out of the car and try to find a gas station.

It started to seem like a bad idea as now it was past 10:00 p.m. By now, the fireworks show had already started. You two kept on going in circles, or freaking out and going back to your car to rest for a few minutes.

Currently, you and America were walking hand-in-hand along the road. No cars had passed at all, no lights have been seen either.

"We should just give up and call Mattie... I bet him and his bear are at the fireworks show." he suggested.

"Why didn't you suggest that earlier? Please just call him! I don't wanna be out here anymore!"

"Me too!"

After several tries, Canada eventually picked up. You couldn't here what Canada was saying due to his soft voice. But by what America was saying, it seemed like Matthew agreed to pick you both up.

Around 30 minutes later, you both were in your car, and a familiar vehicle slowed down. Matthew had finally arrived. Quickly, you both jumped in his car, sighing in relief.

Finally, you were back at Alfred's house. "Thanks Matthew!" Alfred and you said almost in sync. As you watched Canada drive off, you turned to America. "No more firework shows that are far away from home!"

"Sorry, (y/n)! I can't promise that." he responded "But can we go inside now, I'm worn out."
