I am from endless summers and day-long winters
I am from the swamp that never gets to see the white of snow
I am from torrential downpours and thunderous skies
I am from Hispanic roots that I will never bear witness to
I am from 'Noche Buenas' with my whole 'familia'
I am from the falling concussions, the world calls coconuts
I am from days on the seas with 'Iron Beer' and 'Jupina'
I am from where the rain meets the ground and cultures splash in a plethora of colors.
