Beep* Beep* Beep*

Kiara wakes up and turns off her alarm. She lays in bed. Feeling dysania. She just wishes she could stay in bed all day, everyday and not leave. She never really noticed but she's felt like this all the time, especially since the incident with her father.

But if she doesn't leave then her mother is going to have a fit. She hates that she has to think about her mother every time she wants to do something good for herself. The things she likes are the things her mother hates. People she wants to hang out with are the people her mother despise, unless it's a kook.

She tries so hard to be who her mother wants her be, that she barely has time for herself. She tries so hard to be perfect when there's nothing perfect about her. Her mother teaches her how to be beautiful, but never how to feel it. She wants to be who she once was,but she doesn't know how.

She gets up and rubs her eyes. She takes deep breaths before standing. She walks over to her bathroom and looks in the mirror. She looks at herself. The light that was there is gone. The girl that she once knew is dead. She just feels numb.

She turns on the shower and goes to the sink and brushes her teeth and wash her face. Once she's done, she takes off her clothes and steps in the shower. The hot water hitting her body and relaxation washes over. She lets the water hit her face and hair while she closes her eyes. She needed this.

After her well needed shower, Kiara puts on some sweats. She doesn't feel or feel like looking presentable today, so why try. She puts her hair in a messing bun. She doesn't put on any makeup. She feels that her natural beauty will be enough, hopefully. She grabs her backpack and heads downstairs.

Anna is in the kitchen eating breakfast. Kiara sets her bag on the chair in front of her.

"Kiara" her mom says looking at her phone.

"Mother" Kiara responds opening the fridge.

Her mom won't apologize. She never does. She's the type of person to expect an apology when she's in the wrong. But Kiara's not gonna apologize because she thinks she did nothing wrong. All she did was hang out with a really cool person and maybe skipped curfew a little bit.

But the problem wasn't the time, it was who the time was wasted on.

She gets an apple and some water. She doesn't normally have an appetite in the morning, but she tries to eat something. She sits down and goes threw her phone, just to past time.

JJ's getting ready as quietly as he can without waking his father. He puts his shirt on and goes to get his shoes. As he gets them his eyes land on a picture he hasn't seen in ages or that's what it felt like. It's of him and his dad. He was small but he remembers.

They had went fishing. His dad wanted a family day since he was off work. JJ was 4 years old at the time. He had so much fun. Just getting to spend some time with his two loving parents. That was before they started to fight uncontrollably and his dad losing his job.

JJ looks at the picture for a moment. He takes it , rips it in half and throws it away. That man he once called a father is gone and never coming back. He has to accept that, because if he doesn't. He'll end up hurting himself in the end.

He goes on his bed to put his shoes on. Once he's done, he goes in the bathroom and look in the mirror. He has a light purple-ish and red-ish bruise on his cheek. It's not bad but  noticeable.
