Survive

"John B?" Kie says with worry lacing her voice.

"Kie, have you seen JJ?" He says with just the same amount of worry.

"No, I thought he was with you, I called him but he didn't pick up." She tells him as her heart beat starts to quicken.

Not again.

There's a pause on the other end, "Shit, he told me he needed to go somewhere to get something."

"Did he specify on where he was going?" Kie asks standing up.

"No, no details." He says quietly.

"Did you asks where?" She asks her voice getting a little louder.

"No." He says barely a whisper.

"Why not exactly!" She asks a little bit angrier than intended.

"He said he was coming back, I thought he was going to your house or something.." He says defensively.

She sighs.

"Did you try calling him?" She says going up to her room.

"Yes, three times and I texted him, no response."

She goes in her closet and searches for a sweater.

"Do you think he-" She starts.

"Maybe, they always fought pretty bad,but yet he still goes back." He says quietly.

JJ and Luke have a very complicated relationship. A tiny part of JJ will always care for his dad and love him even though there's nothing to love anymore. No matter how many times Luke pushes him away and hurt him, he always came back. Why? Well you're about to find out.

She pauses for a bit, "Why would he do that?" Kie asks quietly.

"He never said,"

She gets the sweater and goes downstairs.

"We have to try there y'know." She says walking downstairs.

"Yeah, I know, but we can't think of the worse when it comes to him, he's getting better isn't he?" He asks.

Kie told John B about JJ. She didn't say everything but some things that he should know. John B is his brother and so is Pope. The more people JJ have be his side when things get too much the better. He may not admit it, but JJ needs them more than they need him.

They're his family and family stick together.

"Yeah, but sometimes you can go back, this stuff takes a long time to even feel half as good as you were, but that's depending on the person. Considering what JJ went through it's gonna take a long time." She explains getting her moms keys off the table.

"Do you think he can be trusted?" John B asks unsure.

"Yes when it comes to other people, but no when it comes to himself." She says opening the door.

"Do you think he'll do something he'll regret?" John asks getting ready himself.

There's silence on the other line.
