After our odd hug, Logan had started to bring me food and fresh clothes all the time. Sometimes he would bring movies for us to watch together, like tonight.

It had been 3 months and my mother still hadn't come for me. Neither did my father.

Logan and I were on the bed as we watched Tangled, my favorite movie on his laptop.

Being with him was so easy but yet dangerous. If they figured out how much time we were spending together, they would hurt Logan, or even kill him and me.

His lips were tilted up in a small smile, yet it still didn't reach his eyes.

I sat up slightly to match our faces. "I know that face. What's wrong?"

"We've gotta talk, Sky."

I sat up all the way and sighed. "What is it?" I was terrified to hear his response.

He shifted so that he was sitting up too. "They were talking about what to do with you today." He started.

I nodded. "What did they decide?" I questioned quietly, tears already stinging my eyes. Was this it? I didn't want to die this way. I'd never see my family again. I'd never get married or have kids. I'd never grow old and die peacefully. This is it.

"The deadline for the ransom was 2 days ago." His hands clasped together in his lap as he looked down, avoiding my eyes.

Scared, I asked, "So, they're gonna kill me?" The tears fell down as panic set in.

"No. I'm going to convince them to extend it a month." He looked back up to me.

His eyes were hard. Emotion still didn't show in his eyes or on his face.

I shook my head.

"I will." He stated firmly.

I stood from the bed, "They'll kill you! I'm not gonna let you die for me." I crossed my arms and stared at him, letting my panic morph into anger.

His hands gripped my hips and pulled me to sit back on the bed. "You will if it comes down to it. If I do, you run and run, don't you look back. Not once or they'll kill you too and my sacrifice will be for nothing." He demanded, letting one of his hands grip my chin to force me to look him in the eye.

My voice broke, "No. I can't let you do that." His eyes held mine and I knew he had determined this was the plan the moment he heard them.

His features softened but still remained emotionless. "You will." He said softly.

I nodded and let the tears flow. Why would he give his life for mine? I was nobody. We weren't together. Hell, we haven't even kissed for Christ's sake!

My body shook as the sobs racked through me. I wiped them away as fast as they fell and looked over at Logan who sat on the bed, staring at me with no emotion.
