Chapter 5: Fun in the sun... or not?

[y/n]'s POV:

We continued to hike the trail, blasting music from my speaker as we trekked through the woods. I had continued to tell the boys about myself, though I wasn't really sure what to say since I don't really like talking about myself.

"Okay, since it's so hot and we're all sweating like crazy, once we reach the waterfall we'll take a break and go swimming for a bit," I said as we took a short break, much to Bakugou's dislike.

"Why the hell are we going so slow?" he growled, already walking ahead.

"Cause we aren't in a fucking hurry," I said in response, "and it's nice to stop and look at the scenery every now and then. Stop focusing on the destination and enjoy the journey." I said, imitating a meditative tone,

"Oh shut up with that bullshit," Bakugou snapped.

"Bakugou," Todoroki said sternly, sending a glare at the blond.

"It's fine Todoroki," I reassured, "I know that behind that rough exterior is a nice soft and fluffy cuddly bug," I said, smirking at Bakugou who started to tremble with rage. I laughed and slapped his back, "Relax man, I'm just joking around."

Bakugou grumbled something under his breath before he started to stalk ahead.

We continued to walk as Midoriya and I spoke about anything and everything.

Midoriya's POV:

As I continued to talk to [y/n], I started to get more and more hooked into the conversation. [Y/n] was just so cool and easy to talk to and fun, I just couldn't help but be drawn to her. I could tell that Kacchan and Todoroki felt the same. Despite his calm exterior, Todoroki would stare at her and make sure to stand close to her when we stopped or talked. Kacchan on the other hand, his explosive exterior was still there, yet there wasn't the usual anger or malice behind it, and you could tell that he wanted to know more about her because whenever she spoke, he would make sure to slow down so he could hear what she was saying.

"Alright, we're almost there," [y/n] said, interrupting my train of thought. I looked past [y/n] and glanced around the trail.

The sun was high up in the sky, glinting through the leaves and illuminating the trail. A light breeze helped soothe the blistering heat and humidity, causing [y/n]'s [h/l], [h/c] to sway slightly.

I could see a bend up ahead on the trail, somewhat hidden through the trees. The entire trail was so peaceful and serene, I couldn't help but close my eyes for a bit and listen to the chirp and chatter of the animals, as well as the faint sound of rushing water.

"You okay?" I opened my eyes and [y/n] was standing right in front of me. She blinked and I couldn't help but note the flutter of her eyelashes.

"Ah! Uh... yeah!" I squeaked as heat rushed to my face. My heart started to beat faster and I could feel my breathing rate pick up. How did she have this effect on me?

"Alright then," she said, a slight smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth, "let's go!" her hand took hold of my arm as she dragged me to where the others were waiting.

We continued to hike the trail, once we passed the bend, a beautiful stream came into view, and relatively large waterfall in the background.

"Whoa, it's gorgeous!" I cried as I took in the picturesque view.

"I know, it's one of my favorite places," [y/n] breathed as she took several steps forward, "The changing rooms, well they're not really rooms... shacks, are over there."

She pointed over to a series of three small wooden stalls with shower curtains to provide privacy. We all headed over, with Todoroki graciously offering to wait his turn so the three of us could change first.
