30 | Dark Monarch

74 29 11

How long has it been
Since I've last seen the light

Locked up in this cold
space of darkness

Always visited by the
creatures of the night

Many had deemed
them invoker of fear

Whispering death
Like it's all they could hear

Don't they think
That light is more severe?

Rather than intense warmth
I want the coldness in silence

Rather than plain sight
I want to see with closed eyes

Rather than sweet lies
I want the bitter truth to rise

Rather than being valued
I want the comfort of solitude

Through this darkness,
I've built fortitude

Established a fortress,
Became a monarch you can't delude
