"So, when should I be expecting you to make your way back here?" My dad asked over the phone as I ate some chicken flavored noodles
"Hmmm?" I asked, confused as I slurped up some noodles "Whatchu mean?"
"You are moving back home right?"
"No. What made you think that?"
He sighed "I understand you think this boy is getting out tomorrow after his court date but it's not happening. He's gonna be doing anywhere from a couple of months to years and if you think your gonna sit around and wait on him-"
"Benji is not the reason I'm staying out here. He never was"
"Well I don't see any other reason for you to be out there babygirl. Especially if you still relying on me financially"
I rolled my eyes and sat my fork in the bowl "I'm starting school next month. Is that good enough for you?"
