Caring for You (Tanjiro×Kanao)

It has been a month and a half since the Kamaboko Squad returned to the Butterfly Estate.
Tanjiro and his friends are recovering fast and they can now walk but they have to follow Shinobu rules so as not to get hurt again.

One morning Kanao went to Tanjiro to see if he needed help.
As soon as Tanjiro looked at him he smiled.
"Good morning Kanao!"

Kanao smiled and then sits on a chair near Tanjiro.
"Good morning too!"

Kanao looked around if she can help Tanjiro with anything but Tanjiro seem to be okay.
Tanjiro started talking to Kanao and after a while Aoi entered the room.
She went to Inosuke and looked at him.
"Wake up Sleeping Beauty!"

Aoi helped him wake up and she made his bed. Then she gave him breakfast to eat and then she took some of his dirty clothes and left.
Looking at Aoi's care for Inosuke, Kanao lowered his head and began to think.
She looked at Tanjiro eyes and felt embarrassed and then she stood up and leave the room without speaking.
Tanjiro was surprised because he was able to smell that she felt embarrassed.
"Why Kanao felt embarrassed near me?"

A little time passed ....
In the kitchen.
Aoi was cooking and Kanao approached her.
Aoi noticed her and saw that she was blushing and was trying to say something.
"Kanao? Can I help you?"

Kanao bowed immediately in front of Aoi.
"Please teach me how to cook!"

Aoi looked at him in surprise and then she smirked.
"It seems to me that it was SOMEONE who pushed you to do this!"

Kanao stood up.
"No! It is my free will!"

Aoi smiled.
"Then let's get started!"

Aoi knew that Kanao could cook small things so she decided to learn how to cook soup.
"Today we are going to cook a traditional Japanese soup called Tonjiru."

Kanao blushed and refused immediately.
"N-No! W-We can't cook T-Tanjiro."

Aoi looked at Kanao and started laughing lightly.
"We will not cook Tanjiro!
We are not cannibals.
That was simply the name of the soup! "

Kanao lowered her head from embarrassement.
Aoi noticed her and took her to the counter.
"First of all we need imgredients."

Aoi took the ingredients in turn and meanwhile Kanao memorized them.
Kanao helped with the cleaning of the vegetables and then they had to be cut.
She told her how to cut  and gave her the knife.
Kanao started .
She took the knife.
"I think I can do this with my sword better."

Aoi immediately refused gently and Kanao continued to cook.
Kanao was doing a very good job as Aoi looked at her happily.
Aoi had a job to do and decided to leave Kanao alone because she was okay.
"Kanao I have something to do and I have to leave now!"

Kanao nodded and Aoi left.
"Do not forget the salt!"

Kanao nodded again and continued to cook.
Time passed and now it was the turn of the salt.
Kanao searched and found two boxes.
Kanao took one without thinking and added it to the soup.
After finishing work with the soup.
Kanao left her to cool down and at that moment she looked at her who was walking with Tanjiro's Haori in her arms.
She approached her.
"Can I help you?"

Aoi looked at Kanao and smiled.
"No, Thanks!
It just torn here and there and I just have to sew it."

Kanao took it.
"You should not get tired with this.
I can sew too. "

Aoi smiled and agreed.
Kanao went to her room and started sewing.
To tell the truth she was not very good at this and she pierced some of her fingers.
Kanao continued to deal with any work that had to do with Tanjiro and she spent the day never resting.
She was taking some of Tanjiro's washed clothes and taking them to his room.
Kanao was lost in thought of what she could do after that and she did not look where she was walking and suddenly collided with someone.
Kanao and the person in front of her falled.
She got embarrassed and apologize immediately.
The person was covered in clothes and Kanao apologize again as she was removing the clothes from him.
She removed the clothes from his head and she was surprised to see that Tanjiro was there.
She blushed and stood speechless as Tanjiro saw her.
Tanjiro smiled.
"I should apologize first because I didn't saw you sooner!"

Tanjiro was helping Kanao gather the clothes and they got to their feet.
Tanjiro did not want to bother Kanao because he saw that she was busy.
"I am going to my room then!"

They both smiled and left.
Time passed and Kanao went to Tanjiro's room with an soup bowl.
Kanao blushed as she saw Tanjiro.
"I came to give you dinner!"
Tanjiro was surprised and smiled.
Kanao sat down next to him and helped him get ready to eat.
Tanjiro looked at her.
"Today you were too busy we did not see each other much!"
Kanao sought to avoid his words and took the soup.
She got embarrassed as she was trying to speak.
"I-I cooked this for you."

Tanjiro was surprised and smiled.
"If its made from you it's expected to be good!"

Kanao gave Tanjiro the soup and she was watching him intently waiting for his reaction.
Tanjiro tried it and he was surprised and looked at Kanao smiling.
Kanao approached him.
"Is it good?"

Tanjiro thought a little and made a strange face!
"It is amazing!"

Tanjiro went on and ate very quickly and suddenly the spoon slipped from his hand.
Kanao got up to pick it up but she felt tired and fell into Tanjiro's lap.

Tanjiro looked at her and understood her condition.
He patted her head.
"Kanao! You worked harder than you should today!"

Kanao was blushing and she hid her face with the blanket.
"It's not a big deal!"

As Kanao was hiding her face Tanjiro looked at her bandaged fingers.
He immediately got worried and took her hands.
"When did this happen?"

Kanao looked at her hands.
"Don't worry!I was sewing your haori!"

Tanjiro looked at her worried.
"Did someone tells you to do all these things?"

Kanao lowered her head.
"It was my free will!
But why aren't you happy?"

"Happy for what?
Seeing you in this condition only make me worry!
Why did you do all this?"

Kanao looked at him.
"Because is my duty to make you happy.
Seeing you in this condition and doing nothing makes me think how useless I am.
And I thought you were probably disappointed in me!"

Tanjiro looked at Kanao and touched her face with his hand.
Kanao i will never think those things about you!
I love the way you are and you don't need to tire yourself with those things.
Your love is enough for me!"

Tanjiro grabbed her chin and they looked at each other.
"For me you are a perfect girl!"

They approached slowly and kissed on the lips.
Later Tanjiro fell asleep and Kanao left for the kitchen.
There she looked at Shinobu who looked terrified.
"What happened?"

Shinobu approached the pot which had the soup that Kanao had cooked.
"Who did this?"

"Me? I cooked it for Tanjiro!"

Shinobu looked at him with a suspicious look.
"Did he ate it?"

Kanao had no idea what Shinobu was looking for.
"Yes!"

"What did he say about it?"

"It was amazing!"

Shinobu looked over her soup and thought.
Kanao approached her.
"What is it?"

Shinobu smiled and took the pot.
"No.Nothing! This is wonderful and I want to take it with me!"

She left for her room and calmed down.
"This soup has sugar instead of salt !!!"
