The world's the canvas, the rainbow a palette,
The omnipotent painter paints away
Since ancient times have we admired,
The Artist's splatter, every day.
Shades from gold to aquamarine,
Truly a masterpiece to be seen.
(But where on Earth did go the green?)
Hidden within the ground we stand,
Under dust and dirt, lies treasure
Rocks and ores, gems and stones,
Reminiscent of a life in leisure.
Mines grow in numbers and size,
And so do little burrowers' demise.
(But did they agree to compromise?)
Flowing in a tranquil state;
Swaying in the gentle ease;
The lively water offers solace,
The Earth's green warriors stand at ease.
In the eternal need for space,
These peace lovers disappear from Earth's very face.
(But did Mother Nature really say yes?)
Hearing our queries, you grown up people,
Will either give us logic to chew
Or dismiss it, saying "After all,
A youngster's nonsense, nothing new."
Remember, this is our world with which you play,
Wrong acts shall invite retribution some day
So pay more heed to the questions we ask,
Finding the answers is your true task.
