Why Can't We..?

Chapter 4

"This is so goooooood" Tae moaned out as he stuffed his face and rubbed his belly
"Remember the soup she made us every time we got sick?" Namjoon asked
"One time she walked some over to my house in a blizzard and mom made her stay for like four hours before she drove her home" Hoseok said with a laugh 
"She's always babied us" Jungkook said with a chuckle 
"You loved it, you made her carry you like a baby until you were like twelve and she couldn't pick you up anymore" Yoongi scoffed as he rolled his eyes 
"Mommy could carry you? You're so big though!" Ellie giggled making everyone chuckle 
"I wasn't always this big, I was little like you once" Jungkook smiled 
"I miss when you lived close to us noona" Jimin said with a small pout making my heart tense 
"I miss it too" I half smiled as I stared down at my plate 
"I wish I knew all of you back then" Jin chimed in with a smile 
"Noona would have babied you too" Jimin chuckled 
"I didn't baby you guys that much" I rolled my eyes 
"Yeah okay" Tae said as he rolled his eyes 
"I didn't!" 
"Mommy..you do kind of baby me. I'm a big girl" 
"I do not.." I pouted making everyone laugh 
"Remember when she had to give Namjoon 'the talk' and supplied him with..items needed.." Hoseok asked as his eyes grew wide making Namjoon turn red all over as I laughed my ass off 
"That was so uncomfortable" he shook his head 
"She's always been a good mom" Yoongi said with a wide gummy smile making me blush 
"She's the best mom!" Ellie cheered 
"Yeah she is" he agreed as he nodded his head and patted her hair. 

After we all ate dinner and cut the cake I helped Ellie take a bath and get into her pajamas, we all huddled up in the living room to watch a movie and she fell asleep almost instantly curled up in Yoongi's lap with her stuffed frog she carried around and slept with. 

A gift he had given her before we moved. 

She was only two at the time, but she was so close to him she kept that love for her uncle in her heart.
That's another reason I made sure we all stayed in constant contact. They all helped me out so much when I was pregnant, and the first few years of her life, I can't thank them enough for their love and support. 
Once I tucked Ellie into her bed and kissed her forehead I walked back into the living room, all seven of them were laughing and talking, I smiled before I walked in completely and sat down on the floor next to Hoseok, I leaned my head on his shoulder, he turned his head and kissed my forehead before continuing on with their conversation 
"Now that Ellie is asleep, do you have any beer noona?" Jungkook asked
"In the fridge" I smiled
"Who's down for a few beers and catching up before bed?" Jimin asked
We all agreed. 

"So what else is going on in your life?" Tae asked me after we laughed and had a few beers in our system 
"Absolutely nothing. Its work, and Ellie" I shrugged and sipped on my beer 
"Oh come on, no friends or anything?" Hoseok asked
"Nope. I keep to myself" 
"Why?" Jin asked 
"I just do. I don't think it's intentional..it might be though. I don't know really" I pouted 
"It's intentional" Jungkook mumbled 
"What makes you say that?" I asked
"When we were growing up, you only took care of us and spent all of your time with us. You didn't let anyone in. Ever. Until..well..you know" he looked down "and you're doing the same thing now with Ellie and work" 
"That's fair I guess"
"Well, after hyung moves here you'll have a friend" Yoongi said with a small smile
"That's true, I can hang out with you and Ellie whenever you want" he smiled "if you want" he shrugged and sipped his beer
I chuckled "okay, deal" I smiled and held out my hand for him to shake, he laughed before he extended his hand and shook mine. 

What was supposed to be a friendly deal made casually amongst friends, would eventually turn out to be the best deal either one of us would ever make in our lives.
