Terraria: the journey of pre-hardmode

The New World

Andrew woke up to a pixelated sky and a weird world
"Hmm where am i"

"Uhh hello anyone?"

Andrew looked around and found someone. He got up and walked over to this mysterious person
"Hi"
(A/N [is an npcs speech])
[Hello Andrew, is there something i can help you with?]
"Yes where am i"
[You are in terraria, and im your guide for this world]
"Ok cool" *help*
[You should start be chopping down trees to get wood and killing slimes to get gel, i'll tell you whence you are done what to do next]
"Ok bud"

And with that, Andrew starts to cut down a tree
*Chop chop cut creak crunch*
The tree fell down and burst into wood pieces and a few acorns
"Hmm acorns huh interesting" *walks to guide*
"Hey guide, what are acorns used for?"
[Acorns are used to grow trees]
"Ok cool. I also cut down a tree"
[Good now you have to fight a slime oh and be careful they hurt you]
"Noted ok well see ya soon friend"
[Ok cya later]

~meanwhile~

King Slime and Eye of Cthulhu are plotting against andrew with flying eyeballs and multicolour slimes

Back to andrew

"Oh look a green blob" *walks near it*
*slime jumps at andrew*
"Ow! whawazzat for!? Grr imma get you now" *Slice* *Splat*
"Oops its dead, oh well whatevs, anywhay what did it leave behind?
*finds some gel and a few copper coins*
"ooohhhhh coins and some" he pauses "weird... Slimy stuff i guess? Ehh i hope i can put it to good use."
*finds guide*
"Hey guide i killed sonething"
[Cool was it a blob thingy?]
"Yea it was a green one and it gave me some of this weird slimy stuff, its also kinda sticky too, any idea what this even is?"
[Yep thats gel, used as ammo for a flamethrower and can be made into torches with wood that is]
"Nice well anyway i was thinking about making you a place to call home. Can you help me with that?"
[Yep ok well you need some wood and gel as the materials so the steps are, dig 1 block down then make it a 10 block gap and put in wood. Also you can put one wood and one gel together to get three torches and ten wood to make a work bench]
"Ok nice" *builds floor to house makes workbench and a few torches* "aww man i need more wood" *goes and cuts a few more trees* *thwack crack chop* and andrew felled a few trees
*looks up to see that the sun gas moved a bit and realises there is a day/night cycle in terraria* "oh well, theres no day like today" *walks back to where he was starting a house and places the work bench next to the wood on the grass* "soo what can i make" *list of options of things to make appear* "wood sword, wooden armor what in the absolute acorn,
(A/N no profanity yet, ill try and keep it as fam friendly as i can)
Wood wall, chair and table, even wooden door what is this!? Ok anyway im guessing imma need some doors, and i'll make a chair and table and some walls i dont see why not" and with that he started stacking up some wood and could only reach up six blocks so he went across to the other side of where the house base was and did the same. "Hmm i just got an idea, what would happen if i tried to connect the smol pillars?"
*tries and succeds to connect the "smol" pillars* "wow i actually did it, only problem is now im kinda stuck in here, maybe i'll use my pickaxe to mine a hole in the wall, maybe i can fit a door in the spot i dig out"
*digs out of house frame*
"Huh blocks float well thats cool. Good thing it doesnt fall"
Attempts to place a wooden door in the cavity in the wall only to succed in doing so*
"Cool it works, so im about 3 blocks tall and doors fit in 3x1 spaces closed I'll take that into note then. Ok I'll put up torches on the sides and install a door." *remembers that he has a table and chair in inventory* "oh yea i have ehh ok hmmm"
*places door chair and table in the "house" also tries to pannel the walls but kinda messes it up* "ahh well whatevs wait i did see a hammer recipe, i wonder what it does" *figures out the use of a hammer* "oh its a tool used to break the background wall. Anyway its starting to get late" *looks up to see the sun going down* "ah well i guess im staying the night with the guide then?" unsure of wether he should or not.

(A/N hey guys this is 815 words worth of a chapter. long for a first lol this is my first book and when im done with this book which i intend to be quite long i will also do one for hardmode! For those who dont know what terraria is it is a 2d sandbox game which is kinda like minecraft (which most of you should know) and was officially released on may 16 2011 back when it only had 3 bosses and hardmode didnt actually exist so yea search up "terraria" and you'll find out quite a bit also if you search "terraria wiki" you will find out the most recent info aboit everything in terraria as of late. There is quite a few things that i wont include cause i cant be bothered)
