"The Creature In the Flooded Basement"

In one town, inside one little house, there lived a father, a mother, and their little girl. Her name was Amelia, and she was 8 years old.

They had moved from Carlin, NV and moved to Seattle, WA, So there was a much larger climate change. The place that they called home was beautiful, even when they purchased it two years prior.
However, recently that week, due to it being November, one of the rainiest months in Seattle, The houses' basement began to flood.
Amelia hadn't gone down there much, she only really followed her father down there to help do laundry, but due to the flooding, they moved the washer and dryer onto the main level.

One Saturday night, Amelia woke up to a crashing sound coming from the basement.
She rose up with a start from her mattress, breathing heavily.
She shakily climbed out of bed, and made her way to the basement door.

She pushed the creaky, old door open, and in the water,

She saw a dark, large fin poking out.

Suddenly, the fin came closer to the top of the basement stairs...and began to climb up them.
It was a slimy, large, fishlike creature, with dark, glassy eyes.
It roared loudly as it got closer to her.

Finally bursting out of her shock, she screamed, running toward her parents room.
"MOMMY!!!! DADDY!!!! HELP!!!!!!!"

Her parents awoke seconds later from their daughters screams.
They jumped out of bed and rushed to the hallway,

But all that awaited them were streaks of water mixed with fresh blood leading back into the basement, and down the steps....
