Prologue
"mama" wala sa sariling tawag ko habang nakapangalumbaba.
"hmm?"
"paano kayo nagkakilala ni papa?" out of nowhere kong tanong.
nakatingin lang ako sa bintana, pinapanood ko ang pagbagsak ng ulan.
"bakit mo naman naitanong? may nagugustuhan ka na ba?" she said in a teasing tone.
natawa ako, nakatingin pa rin sa bintana.
"curious lang" nagkibit balikat ako.
"nagkakilala kami sa simbahan" napa-upo ako ng diretso, nakuha nun ang interes ko.
ngumiti si mama ng mapansin na nakuha niya ang atensyon ko.
"you want to hear our love story huh" she laugh, I smiled.
"I keep praying that I want a man that loves God as much as I do, after praying, I saw your dad enters the church and it felt like the time stop as our eyes met" I can see the love in my mother's eyes while talking about how they met.
napangiti ako, I want that kind of love too.
I'd like to meet my soon to be husband at the church too, like how my parents meet.
I didn't know then that God will grant my wish.
That day, as our eyes met one another, I didn't know that he'll have this big part in my heart.
