Alli's POV.

"Mari. Hurry up and get outta there. We're gonna get in trouble if we-"

"Alli quit being such a pussy and help me out of here." I rolled my eyes at her and I took her hand and pulled her out of the little small door way where we found a little room with junk all in it.

"Just because I got a pussy doesn't mean I am one.." I murmured while pulling her out.

"Good point Al." We both chuckled.

"But really Mar. We should head back to the rooms before Mrs. Ollie finds out we escaped the room.." she nodded and we started heading to the room.

We quietly talked, laughed and made weird jokes and stuff.

Mari is the only friend I've got here. All the others just don't care about me as much as she does.. She's only 16 and I'm 14. She's been in the orphanage a little bit longer than I have been. We have a lot in common. The same things back at her home happened the same way mine was. But what was different was that her Dad was arrested for something when she was 5 and her Mom died when she was 3.. and that's when her dad has been going crazy and started drinking and shit.. The first day I came here, everyone picked on me and called me names and saying that I'm a low-life little piece of shit and that I would never get adopted by the way I look and shit like that...but SOME of that stopped over the past 2 years.. at 9 years I hated myself and I really felt like I was just a nothing but a piece of shit and never meant to be here and so I did- well I tried to do what my dad has always wanted.. I tried to commit suicide in the bathroom... but thanks to Mari she stopped me and calmed me down and comforting me.. she's like an older sister to me and she's been there when I needed someone..

We started to get closer to the room until we heard a noise come from behind us and all the sudden we heard something that sounded like something like a tin bowl or something that's related to it. Me and Marie turned around quickly as we almost jump out of our skin.

"What the hell was that?" Mari asked curiously.

"I don't know. You heard it too?" she nodded.. I sat there bent down and looking to what that was and where it came from and all the sudden I saw a figure that's similar to a shadow..

I tapped on Mari's shoulder and when she looked at me with a small frown I pointed at the shadow and told her to move quickly and get to that dark corner and she nodded.

Before she got there I called her name and she turned around and looked at me with a worried face..

"You stay here and I'll distract them and as soon as they turn coming my way. I'll signal you when you can go to the room and I'll be there in minute... Yes?" She nodded and we hugged and as when we pulled away she yelled whispering for me to be careful and I nodded

I went to find something that I can do to distract the person. Maybe if I open and close the doors constantly maybe they will come my way... I found a figure in the distance of the hallway.

I hid and in a little corner and wait till the person went by and when they were just a few feet away from where I am.

I tiptoed across from where I was and I waited until the person went around the corner enough for me to see the shadow of the person. I opened the door and it made a little squeak and then I slammed it shut making a loud bang..

I quickly moved back to the dark corner I was in not to long ago. Then the person looked back asking who was over here.

I kept quiet and told Mari not to move just yet. She nodded.

I found a rock earlier and I decided to throw it to Mari.

"Since you're closer to the end of the hall throw the rock down there and try to break that window on the door so we can get out of here! hurry!!" I yelled whispering making sure the person didn't hear me.. she nodded..

She aimed at the window. I looked at the person that was turning around going the other way again. I quickly ran to where Mari was.

She threw it and it hit the window shuttering it into pieces.

We heard feet running towards us and then the light came on..

"Fucking shit.." i murmured and Mari agreed with nodding her head saying 'Mmhhmmm'

Me and Mari.. we're so fucking screwed..
