"Ethan why the fùck did you trap her?" Natatawang tanong ni Simon. He turned his back on me and opened the fridge.

We're currently in our man cave. The Lakers' best game is playing on the big screen while I'm here on the bar sitting on the stool waiting for Simon to get us a beer.

Yes, we have our man cave. It's like a small apartment where we hangout. There's a pool table, huge screen for basketball games, ps4 set up, and a huge ass couch. We also have a bar.

Sabay kaming lumaki that's why we're inseparable even though we're already grown men. Growing up, lagi siyang dinadala ni Tita Miranda at Tito Sam sa bahay and there we would play all day. When Mama birthed the twins, their attention was focused on them dahil sakitin sila. I felt alienated but Simon was there to hangout with me. Well, wala naman siyang choice dahil considered siya as a 'freak' at the school dahil advanced siya. He's a freaking genius. Kahit na twelve palang siya noon at senior high school na siya a lot were bullying and teasing him and I was there to punch and scare each and everyone one of them and as a token of his gratitude he would teach me algebra and sometimes do my homework.

Then nadagdagan pa kami ng tatlo but I was older than them and so they would hang out with each other. I don't hold any grudge against them. They're all cool with me. As well as my parents. They're not perfect but they gave us a good life---heck even the best but having that kind of childhood has its effects like having a tough exterior and doing stupid things so I could get my parents' attention. I used to do that as a kid and in my early twenties.

"Don't be so dramatic." Sagot ko. He opened the bottles at inabutan ako nang isa.

We're still both wearing our work clothes. Dress shirt and slacks.

"I am not being dramatic, Ethan. Ikaw ang ma-drama." He chuckled. "Shìt, you offered the woman to be your freaking girlfriend! Are you kidding me?" Napailing siya at napalagok nang alak.

"Can you blame me?! I like her, o-okay? I-I mean ph-phsysically and I would do whatever it takes to have underneath me. Simple as that."

He nodded slowly.

"Right. Are you sure that, that's just it? You also mentioned that you almost fired the guy who likes her?"

"Because she cares about him and I-I need leverage to get what I want...Binakuran ko siya dahil gusto ko siyang ikama and I can't do that if that bastard is always around."

"Okay, if you say so." "But Ethan, I grew up with your ass and no matter how you lie I will always see the truth seeping from your skin."

I scoffed and decided to change the topic before I convince myself that he's right. That I really like her..that it is more than just physicality. It's fast but this is the first time that I went above and freaking beyond to get a girl who doesn't even want me. Whom I needed to blackmail to be with me.

Maybe I'm just confused or really, really just physically attracted to her.

"Whatever, Simon. Now, tell me about the stripper I sent your apartment." Pagiiba ko nang usapan.

He grunted and shook his head.

"God, remind me why we're still friends?"

Malakas akong tumawa.
