"Is that on the list?" Mihi pointed to the package of cookies that her dad had in his hand, his hand pausing before putting it in the cart that she was pushing.

When he meets her eyes, he raises a brow. "I don't think so?"

She smiles, pushing the cart forward. "Well then, I don't think we need it." She could hear her dad mumble as she leaves him behind, her lips pursing as she holds her laughter. "What was that, sir?"

"I said 'Aigoo, my daughter is so responsible with money, she's the best.'" He popped up by her side, two thumbs up as he nods with a strained grin. She rolled her eyes, laughing as she approached the aisle with the frozen items. "What are we getting down here?"

"I've cream."

He scoffs, mocking her. "Is that on the list?"

She stops in front of the frosty doors, turning and holding the paper up to his face, finger pointed between two lines where it clearly reads '아이스크림'. "It sure is." She laughs when he scoffs, folding the list and putting it in the seat of the cart so she can get the ice cream.

They begin leaving the aisle, pausing when a child runs and makes a sharp turn into the cart without seeing it.

"Oh my god--" Mihi covered her mouth and walked over to the kid who knocked their face into the metal cart, their small hands covering their face. "Are you okay?"

"What happened?" She snapped her head up to the voice of concern, her father standing from squatting to see the issue as well. When the two of them look at the one who vocalized concern, Mihi's eyes widen slightly, her mouth falling open.

"Kim's boy. And girl." Mihi's dad pointed to the younger girl that was standing next to his leg, his hand moving to point at the child laying on the ground and still holding their face. "And other boy."

He bowed at her father, turning and looking back to Mihi who was still squat down next to the kid. "Oh, uhh... He's okay. This happens often."

A muffled sentence comes from the child on the ground. "That doesn't mean it hurts any less."

"Well, maybe you should learn your lesson and walk instead." The older sibling sighs, crossing his arms as he looks briefly towards Mihi. "Sorry for the inconvenience. Come on, get up so you can pick an ice cream."

The young boy moves his hands from his face, a faint grid pattern marking over his nose and the left side of his face. Mihi covers her mouth again, a mix between a gasp and a laugh threatening to leave her chest as she looks at his face as he glares at the hovering face of his brother.

"Can't you see that I'm hurt? Give me a minute."

Mihi looks over at the taller guy once again, his glasses pushed up on top of his head as he cuts his eyes to her direction as subtly as he can.

"Allow us to buy the ice cream."

Mihi helps up the younger Kim as her father talks to Taehyung, her ruffling the younger's hair as she helps him straighten his shirt and everything after his fall.

"That's not necessary, we just came to get them a treat before going home." Taehyung clears his throat and scratches the back of his neck, nervous to meet Mihi's father's eyes.

"Just ice cream? That's wonderful then. Let us drop you home, as well. I think we got everything we need, right?" Mihi's dad looks over to her, her drifting her eyes to him as she nods with a small smile. "Great."

Mihi's father guides the two kids to the ice cream freezers, Taehyung standing awkwardly next to Mihi as he waits for this encounter to end.

"You're so tense." Mihi mumbled lowly only for him to hear, her head turning to look at his rigid stance. "You almost look scared of me." She laughs softly when he practically melts next to her, like an ice cube sitting in the sun and instantly turning to liquid. "That's better, after all, there's nothing to be scared about when it comes to me."
