How's prison? Is that how you were taught to sign-off your letters?
Prison is a walk in the park. I can do prison with both hands tied behind my back and blindfolded. The routine, the warden, the other guys here, they're all just pawns in the system. Prison is easy, what's distressing is knowing that while I'm in here, there's no one I trust out there protecting you and your family, the thoughts of what could happen terrorize me, they keep me up pacing at night.
Your pop doesn't want you thinking about me, he's right. Don't waste your time writing to me, go be a kid. But I will say, getting your letter, however crude your manners, now knowing you are safe for at least these few minutes has eased my mind - maybe I'll sleep a few minutes tonight.
