Silent occurred once the name was spoken from Azazel's mouth, Rias and the group looked confused while Vali shuddered

"Y-you're him?!" The alive Kobabiel said, his figure trembling as he pointed at Y/n who ignored him and looked at Azazel with a cold look

"The famous bounty hunter, the invincible assassin, the one who's on par with the devil king" Vali whispered in horror or excitement, nobody could tell

"On par... with a devil king?" Issei whispered before anger emerged in his heart, practically burning his figure

"You bastard! You never used that power! Why d-" with just a glance from Y/n, Issei's mouth was shut

"Why of course it was because of what it means if you join a faction right?" Azazel gleamed with sharp light

Y/n smiled

He never intended to deceive Azazel, he knew that an old monster like him who had seen castles tumble, civilizations overthrown, and heroes slaughtered. He couldn't compete with raw experience

So he took it another angle, to instead do the opposite and bring forth the problem and why he had done what he did

"If you used your true abilities, this would've been a sign for war" everyone bar Y/n grew confused

"The three factions need a balance, if Y/n were to join a faction..." the possibility and action of such a thing dawned on everyone

"Of course this is one of the reasons why you do missions for all three races, not just devils" Azazel jabbed at every point with precision

Rias smiled

Y/n didn't lie! Just the fact that he has shown enough power to nullify her marriage brought warmth to her heart but Y/n indeed didn't lie this time and instead shown the truth

The rest of the peerage showed small smiles

Was this why he had captured Vali and brought Azazel here?

"But... you also want other things right? I mean, if you helped the devils out by capturing Vali and nullifying Kobabiel without wanting anything, that would be quite a problem" Azazel said with a light strained smile

He knew the situation was delicate, so he was pressing Y/n to ask for compensation. In a way this was to smooth out things

Of course Y/n wouldn't be so kind as to give him an option, so with a mere look, Kobabiel was captured in a prison similar to Vali

"I've been hearing rumors of your sacred gear research..." Y/n said with a gentle smile as Azazel's expression turned a bit grim
