Gideon was sitting in his old room the night before the show. He hadn't been back in this room for almost two years. Everything looked just how he left it when he was sixteen. Gideon had picked up an old newspaper clipping from his old desk. It was a picture of his nine-year-old self and the love of his life Mabel Pines. While younger Gideon had been smiling Mabel had been looking uncomfortable. Looking at the picture Gideon knew what he had done back then wasn't very good. He didn't blame Mabel for shutting his down. Considering his part in Weirdmageddon, him trying to kidnap her, forcing her to date him, and a few dozen other things. But since than Gideon had put that behind himself. As soon as he graduated high school at Gravity Falls at just fifteen. He had left the town to find himself. Now here he was still a magician performing at the same town he had tried to destroy.  Gideon sat on his old bed before picking up his phone scrolling through his text messages boredly. For some reason Gideon found himself opening up the nightstand beside his bed. He found a picture of a than just thirteen-year-old Mabel. He couldn't help but smile sadly at it. Before setting it down Gideon knew better than to get his hopes up now. He knew that he would likely never get to see her again. And he was fine with that but he wouldn't mind waking up to her smile. He couldn't help but remember a song he had heard recently I Wouldn't Mind. He couldn't help but hum the lyrics before setting the picture before looking at his one last time. Before closing his eyes and going to sleep.

*The next day*

Gideon exhaled a deep breath before opening the curtain to get ready for his performance. He walked onto the stage the lights shining brightly in his face. Before letting some cards fall but a minute later let doves fly out of his cape. Setting them all free when he looked to see where they went. Gideon looked up to see a familiar face in the audience. He looked up to see Mabel now without braces but still beautiful. Her long hair braided and her brown eyes shining. Gideon couldn't believe that she was here after all this time. "My queen", he proclaimed while looking right up here. Causing the audience to give him confused stares. Gideon shook the urge to run up and hug her. He took a deep breath before continuing the show as the audience were amazed by his tricks. Before taking a bow at the end and walking backstage trying to keep his heart from erupting out of his chest at the sight of Mabel. Gideon peered behind the curtain for the rest of the show watching Mabel sitting beside Pacifica someone even Gideon knew. I don't rmemeber those two being friends. Than again things must have changed he thought to himself. Gideon had never been relieved when the show was over. He grabbed his things before running outside trying to get past a crowd of people. Looking everywhere for Mabel. When for a moment Gideon could've sworn that he saw her. Gideon ran outside looking everywhere for her without Pacifica by her side. To see her waiting for him with a huge smile. Gideon at that moment had wanted to cry. Instead he brought her into a hug before inhaling her scent. Before coming back up.

"If you were wondering where Pacifica is. I convinced her to leave me while I waited for you"

"Oh", Gideon said before the two fell into silence.

"Any way you grew into quite an adult. I see you no longer have that hairstyle", she said before pinching Gideon gently on the cheek before smiling another huge smile. Gideon held her hand in his for a moment. He was again tempted to cry.

"Mabel I'm sorry about everything", he apologized before she smiled again.

"It's fine Gideon I forgive you a long time ago. We were just kids back then"

"But that's still no excuse for what I did"

"It's fine Dipper told me what you did. He told me you went to confront Bill to stall while he went to recuse me is that true?"

"Yeah"

"Thanks, Gideon", she said.

"It was no problem"

Mabel interlocked Gideon's arm into hers. "Now we have a lot to catch up on", she exclaimed before pulling him with her. At that moment Gideon had been happier than he had been in years. He felt his heart pound with every step. He was so grateful he had gotten a second chance to meet her. This time through Gideon wasn't going to let Mabel go not again.
