Dream came home and sent George Sapnap's video through discord. He saw that George wasn't on, so he decided to call up Sapnap to see if he was available.
Sapnap agreed to come over, so that he could help him with his maths but also, so that Sapnap could interrogate Dream about George.
After twenty minutes Sapnap arrived, giving Abigail a hiss as a greeting. Abigail barked back, opening the doors and letting Sapnap in.
"Hey, got my maths," Sapnap said cheerily when he spotted Dream. Dream grinned and beckoned for him to come up.
They both flopped on his bed, their homework in front of them and they started working on their worksheets. The silence was interrupted by Sapnap's whining.
"Dreaaaaaam, what did you get for number five?"
"I got 17, why?"
"Uh.. I got -42."
"...How?"
"...."
"Okay, look, you have two negatives, that makes a positive. This is just revision, you should know this," Dream laughed, peering over Sapnap to see his paper. He pointed at one of the numbers, "Yeah, you got it wrong."
Sapnap grumbled under his breath and erased the -42. He flipped the hair out of his eyes, shrugging slightly.
"So, let's talk whilst we work," Sapnap suggested and Dream nodded, turning back to his problem. So if he multiplied x by four, he would have to get rid of y on both sides- "How's it with George?"
"Huh?" Dream turned to Sapnap with raised eyebrows. Sapnap was grinning slightly. "How's it with George?"
Dream stared at him for a few seconds, then shook his head. "Well, for starters, we're good friends. He's cute, but I doubt he even likes me."
"Aight, well, did he give you any hints or anything like that?" Sapnap asked, glancing back at his maths paper and frowning. He started crossing out his answer. Dream furrowed his eyebrows.
"Well, he did call me cute this one time and kissed my cheek, but that's about i-" "Wait, he kissed your cheek? Kiss kissed?"
Dream smiled, confused. "Uh yeah?"
"Dude. He likes you. Totally," Sapnap said confidently, scribbling a new answer to number seven. "There's no way a straight guy kisses someone else and doesn't fancy them."
Dream rolled his eyes and looked at his worksheet. "You know, I bet it was a pity kiss."
Sapnap snorted. "Yeah right. He pities your good looks, charming personality? Nice try."
Sapnap started laughing, making Dream even more confused. "Wait, you're right. He pities how oblivious you are."
Dream groaned, writing down his answer for number twelve. Sapnap decided to shut up and continue working on his worksheet as well.
They worked in silence for another fifteen minutes, until Sapnap rolled over, groaning.
"I can't do this anymore! Just... can we call George?" Sapnap asked, pushing the worksheet onto the side and sighing. Dream looked up and shrugged, taking his phone and calling George on discord.
He didn't pick up.
"Man, ghosting his crush? He's nuts," Sapnap muttered, earning a shove from Dream. The black haired boy started laughing, "I'm kidding, he's probably busy."
"Mmm yeah, perhaps," Dream replied, hanging up and throwing his phone back on his bed, turning back to his papers.
Sapnap groaned.

When Tuesday rolled around, Dream made his way to school quickly. First lesson was maths. Ugh.
He sat down next to Bad, who was busy doodling in his notebook. Dream peered over Bad's shoulder and smiled. It was a tiny scruffy looking dog.
"Look, this is a drawing of my dream dog! I'll definitely buy one like this when I get older and call her Rat!" Bad said proudly, showing Dream the drawing. Dream laughed.
"Rat? Why Rat?"
"Well.. her name obviously wouldn't actually be Rat.. but like her nickname! I really like it," Bad shrugged, going back to drawing the tiny dog. Dream watched him with amusement.
"Oh, Dream, I forgot to ask. They're posting the results tomorrow, right?" Bad asked and Dream nodded absentmindedly. He decided to doodle too, whilst he waited for his teacher to arrive.
So into the corner of his paper, he drew a tiny George holding hands with a tiny Dream. The blonde smiled at the paper, as he watched the two grin whilst holding hands.
He noticed Bad was staring at him with the same goddamn smile he had when George first entered the classroom.
Dream smiled nervously. Why was he surprised? Bad always knows.
He probably realised from the moment Dream saw George. The muffin boy smiled to himself, resuming his drawing of Rat, with a tiny grin on his face.
