Ch:30

Jaden's POV

I couldn't believe my eyes when Mrs. Margret introduced me to my new subordinate. He smiled as he moved his hand forward for a handshake and I expected it awkwardly.

"It's a pleasure to work with you, Jaden. Please teach me everything I need to know."

Eric shook my hands, he wasn't ready to leave my hand. I didn't know what exactly to say so I just shook my head in agreement and I looked at the hand he wasn't letting go. He seemed to realize that he was still holding my hand so he let go. I began to explain his work routine and he seems to get a hang of it quickly.

Eric's POV

He was busy billing the customers, as I spoke to female customers because they kept bothering me. The cafe was bustling with customers.

I was lucky that Mrs. Margret asked me to work with her, now I can spend time with him... that's what I thought but this job got us so occupied... that all I could do from time to time is watch him from afar.

I was talking to some of the female customers who were bothering me. I heard the doorbell chime so I wished the customers. I was a little nervous cause it was Marceline with another girl that I didn't know. As she noticed me she frowned. She ignores me and walked away holding the girl's hands. Oh, so this is what she meant by starting anew. I was happy for her. I didn't want to spoil her little date so I told Jaden to take over, he didn't question it and he attended their table.

Marceline's POV

Jaden attends our table and I thank God for that. I didn't want to ruin my mood by talking to that prick. I didn't know he worked here. So I asked Ivy if she knew him. She said that he was a newbie. Although she didn't know much about him she did see him somewhere probably in school.

I stared at her as she took a sip of her milk coffee and now she had a white moustache. I giggled as I wiped it off with my finger and licked them. She turned red quickly. She was so cute I couldn't help but fall even deeper for her.

I was watching her, when suddenly I got distracted by the doorbell chime as my eyes moved towards the door, I was stiffened in my seat.

Emilio was the one that entered. Way to fuckin ruined my mood. Why was everyone who I didn't want to see appearing when I didn't want them too? This always happens, it's so annoying... Even yesterday, Jaden and Emilio ended up catching us making out. It was by far the worst but I could honestly care less cause I enjoyed it.

Why was I so blinded by Eric's looks? That I couldn't see Emilio's love. He was so good to me and yet I took advantage of it...I almost left him to die...and I left the scene because I was scared but thank God he was safe. Even after all that he liked and cared for me but I never liked him romantically. I just accepted his confession cause I just wanted to have a boyfriend to Bragg about.

Everything was karma... I cheated on Emilio, broke his heart, and on the other hand, Eric cheated on me and broke my heart...I think I deserved it but... I don't want history to repeat...I genuinely like Ivy. I don't want to lose her...I think I need to sort this out...

Emilio's POV:

I walked into the cafe to pick Jaden cause Gracie wanted to invite Jaden for dinner. Eric saw me, he didn't say anything but he had his eyes on me. Jaden was surprised to see me over there. I explained everything and he said that I would have to wait for a few minutes, till the shop was going to close. So I was waiting for him to finish.

Suddenly somebody crashed on my table...it was Marceline. I was shaking I didn't know how to react...

Emilio:
"Oh..hey."

I said confused. Where did she come from? And what does she want now? I was a little concerned if she was going to throw a tantrum but she didn't and she gave me a sad smile.

Marceline:
"I am sorry about yesterday...I said some mean stuff."

Emilio:
"You were right though...but I will try to become a better person... leave all that how have you been?"

Marceline:
"I am great. I feel lucky to have the person I truly loved... she is sitting over there."

She points with a smile. The girl smiles back. It's the same girl who was kissing her yesterday.

Emilio:
"I know I saw that yesterday... I am happy that you found the right person."

I smiled at her, she seemed confused.

Marceline:
"Don't you hate me...?"

Emilio:
"I could never hate you...but at the same time I don't like you anymore so you don't have to worry about my feelings."

Marceline:
"I was such a bitch... how could I do all those things to you... I hate myself for it... I am truly sorry... I hope you can forgive me for everything."

Emilio:
"That was the past...what matters is now. If you're happy this way then it's fine... but I think you should go back to the person who is waiting for you. Don't keep them waiting like this after all y'all on a date, She is probably missing you."

I give her a bright smile.

Marceline:
"You're right...Thank you so much for everything and I will try to be a better person so that I can be someone she can be proud of.."

She smiles as she walks away to her lover. I was happy for them but I couldn't help but feel empty.

Jaden's POV:

I saw Marceline walking to Emilio's table but couldn't keep an eye on them since I was very busy. The cafe was bustling with people, mostly girls probably because of Eric. The doorbell kept chiming as new customers entered the cafe and once again it did. I was surprised to see her after so long...
