Sour Grapes

I am a vine. 

I climb and climb, 

Up the building of accomplishments. 

And when my effort finally bears fruit, 

When I finally flourish, 

Someone eats my grapes. 

Crushing them with hungry teeth, 

And now all my grapes are sour.
