Chapter 5: Grave Introduction part 2

Sora, Kyle, and their group are catching their breath after taking down the Terminator. Just then, Perry contacts them on Kyle's wrist computer. He looks at it as Perry's face appears on it. 

Perry on computer: Reese! Reese, you there?! 

Kyle: Yeah. We're all here. We pegged the T-800. Looks like the same model that hit Oregon. 

Perry on computer: We gotta get the general to the evac point. 

Kyle: What about the battle plans? We can't let Skynet get 'em.

Perry on computer: Check! Shoot out the mainframes 'til they start smoking. I'm going topside with Barnes to round up the troops and do a damage assessment. 

Kyle nods, and hangs up. He tells the others what do to, and they agree. Kyle and Sora aim for the mainframes, and shoot at them. The mainframes take damage, and then, they both explode. They both nod, and they all run to the door with the last remaining soldier in the room. Kyle looks at him.

Kyle: We'll get Connor out, you cover our rear. 

Soldier: Can do, sir. I'll shoot anything that moves! 

Kyle opens the door, and they all leave the base control room, and enter the base corridor. They meet up with John, Goofy, and Roxas. 

John: Sora, you take point with Reese. We need to get out of here before Skynet brings in the heavy guns. 

Kyle: Roger that, General Connor. Do you think the Infiltrator was the start of a full-on assault? 

John: No doubt. The fight has migrated this way. It's above us now, and will descend on us in a matter of minutes.

Riku: Dang. We're gonna get a big fight here. And something tells me that Skynet is also sending in the Heartless to help out the machines. 

Kairi: Wait. John, what about your wife, and daughter?

John: Blair is getting them right now with Namine. She knows how to take care of them. Now, let's roll, soldiers. 

They all follow Sora and Kyle as they take lead. They come across two wounded soldiers. Kairi and Donald check on them.

Wounded soldier: I'm messed up. (Sighs painfully) Took some shrap in the arm, feel so dang stupid. 

Donald: It's okay, soldier. Tell me what happened.

Wounded soldier: It was an aerial. We took it down with a rocket. 

Donald: Hang in there. I'll get you patched up in no time. 

Wounded soldier: Thank you. (To Kyle) Here, sir. Take this. They got my throwing arm. 

He hands Kyle a canister bomb. Kairi is helping a medic with the second wounded soldier. Kyle looks at the others.

Kyle: Stay behind us. Looks like we've gotta kill 'em all. 

Everyone nods. Sora opens another door that leads to the base power plant and barracks. Inside, they find three more wounded soldiers. They figured it was because of the Infiltrator what got them. Donald and Kairi checks on two of them while Kyle and Riku walks to the third one.  

Donald: What happened here?

Wounded soldier: There were two infiltrators. One got by us, but we got the other one when the hallway collapsed. (Sighs) I'm in no shape to go with you guys. Take this ammo. I can't use it. 

Donald: It's okay, soldier. 

Donald takes the ammo, and gives it to John. The whole place rumbles roughly as radio chats are on heard on the radios. Kairi checks on the second.
