Chapter 13: Time displaced

Meanwhile, in another part of the base, Robotic Knight is walking through the hallway. He contacts Machine King.

Robotic Knight: My king, there's been a problem. Steel Ogre Grotto failed. I'm all that's left now. 

Machine King: They're stronger than I thought. Wait. Where are you?

Robotic Knight: I'm right by the Time Displacement Chamber. 

After hearing that, Machine King gets an idea for Robotic Knight. He tells him his plan as he walks into the next room. Meanwhile with the heroes, Star has meet up with the group, and they're in a elevator, heading for the Central Shaft. Star also gives Kyle a new weapon to help him out. It's called a Multi-Caster, and it sends out a beam of electricity out of it. It will shocks the machines to bits. She also gave him another EMP Generator. The elevator finally reaches the Shaft. As it does, John contacts them. Kyle also sees Sarah's picture on the wrist computer too. 

John on computer: Kyle, do you remember my mother's picture I gave you a few years ago? 

Kyle: Yeah. You also told me to memorize the face. 

John on computer: She's destined to be your most crucial mission. 

Kyle: (Smiles) Sounds good to me.

John on computer: This has serious consequences for all of us. You, me, the world. 

Kyle: What do you mean? 

John on computer: (Sighs) Like I said, it's your rendezvous with fate. Skynet just built its greatest and latest weapon, a time machine. Skynet is planning to send a Terminator back through time to kill my mother, so I'll never be born. And without me, there won't be a resistance to challenge the machines. With this one act, Skynet will win. That's why I want you all to destroy the time machine before Skynet can use it. But if we're too late, you'll have to go through after the Terminator. 

After hearing that, everyone is shocked. When John told them that if they're too late to stop Skynet, he has a backup plan. "Kyle in the backup plan"? They all thought.

Kyle: (Shocked) Back in time...?

John on computer: (Static) To 1984. 

Kyle: Sir! Sir, you there? Sir!

John on computer: We're getting hammered on the assault. Find Skynet security operations and deactivate the defense grid. 

They all look around for the room to Skynet's forward defense grid. They see all of the doors are locked, except for one. They figure that door might be the one. Star opens the door first. And they see they're there. Four T-800s are waiting for them. Kyle uses the EMP Generator on them, and they all shut down completely. 

Kairi: (Smiles) I'm with Riku. I love that gun.

After that, Four HK Recons fly through the vents. Kyle looks at the generator and sees it's almost done recharging. He waits for a second, and it's done. He aims, and fires another wave. The Recons explode from the wave. They approach the hardware of the defense, but they see that the hardware is protected by a biofilter. 

Kyle: Dang it. (Contacts John) General, there's no way we can destroy all this hardware in time. 

John on computer: The attack has begun. I can't call it back. Our forward assault team is already on its way, but the Sci-Tech unit pinned down from heavy enemy fire. We can't afford to lose those engineers. 

Kyle: (Looks at the controls for the turrets on the forward grid) I have an idea. Tell Crypto to isolate a mainframe from the network. I'll access the terminal here and use Skynet's own weapons against it.
